Dr. Andras Peter, MD

My Uncle has been a patient of Dr. Peter's for years and does like him. He feels he gets good help. His office secretary, Lynn, on the other hand is extremely unprofessional. My Uncle was in the hospital for weeks and as I left messages pleading for a phone call back, I received zero correspondence. My family still has yet to receive a response on several questions. I understand some people hate their jobs and are miserable, however, as a doctor's admin and the only way to reach said doctor, a simple phone call back is part of job responsibility. You will be calling repeatedly, believe me. Good help really is hard to find.

I scheduled an appointment for a complete physical with Dr. Peter. I knew of no one that had ever used him before so I took a chance after reading the reviews. I was pleasantly surprised! I did enjoy the interaction with Dr. Peter and I felt that he took his time and listened to me. I believe that if you are open and truthful with your physician they can make good judgment calls regarding your health and well being and when necessary suggest appropriate tests. I would recommend Dr. Peter. I just wish he had more night hours and night hours in the Avenel location. Getting appointments at the Carteret office is challenging.

Takes his time, askes the right questions. He has become the only docor I trust because of his honesty.

I have had a thyroid problem for years and I have seen Dr. Peter for over three years and guess what he did not diagnosed until I point blank ask him to check on it, me a patient with no medical education and the reason why he did not diagnose it is because he spends literally 5 minutes with you, not even examining you, this is after you have to wait for over an hour to see him. He looks rushed and like he wants to get rid of you and he overlooked something this important. Also when really sick I have tried to get an appoinment with him and instead of taking me in his office told me to go to the ER if I really felt this sick. These are my expericiences with him leave to you to determine if you want to see him.
