Dr. Andre Chen, MD

Hateful. Automatically thinks you’re a drug addict. No compassion. Talks to you like your a child and he a dictator. Doesn’t understand pain that patients have because he can’t feel it himself and he just doesnt care.

Cold, rude, and all around treated me like a spot on his shoe. I was already nervous to see him after I was referred and I have never had a doctor treat me the way that he did. If you suffer from a chronic illness causing pain I would stay away from him.

I would highly suggest not going to Dr. Chen or APC in general. Chen is overbearing, and raises his voice. He does not listen and is unprofessional in everything that a Dr. is supposed to represent when taken the Hypocrite Oath. I have left his office in tears almost every visit. His front staff have also vocalized the same. I found myself asking his staff what kind of a mood is he in today? His staff changes each time I visit the office. Find a different PM Dr because you will be disappointed

Dr Chen is a wonderful physician that specializes in pain management addiction. I am very glad to say he was my doctor while I lived in Austin Texas and I can honestly recommend him to anyone that needs that kind of medical professional. Not only is the doctor important but also the nurses and office ladies. They will make your life better because it’s clear they care. Thanks Dr Chen, I very grateful for the care you provided me.

I have several chronic and painful conditions and serious health issues that require pain medication to manage. Dr Chen decided to give me synthetic heroin called Suboxone with narcan in it. He treated me like an addict instead of being compassionate that I can barely walk, bend over, do laundry or live a normal physical life without pain. If I could give 1 star I would! Oh, and my insurance denied his claim so I owe $1500 and I now have it on my record that I’m an opiate abuser.

I should have read this file before I went. This guy said he would guarantee I would not see anyone in a pain clinic again, after 10 min interview. I was called a liar , while two days earlier I had discussed in point inplant options. They would not work. Fusion was my next option. I mistakenly took 1 pill from an old prescription and then threw out the bottle and forgot about it. Offered documentation that I would not respond to several options due to hypersensitivity .i am a person that suffers From PTSD and A panic Disorder on top of pain Issues. I did not need to be called a liar. I have wounded in this industry and know this guy is totally ill equipped to service and person Of addiction. He actually told me I would be black balled -a 10 min interview! Mal-practice is what I say. Sends me home with mar can with no prescription of the 6 they had me taking. In fact one was a Siri itive of LSD. I had to stop it because the flash backs I was having as well as the swelling of my… gums -enflamed from the gums and throat. Last year they let me be bed ridden for 6 months while I was getting shots when they knew I needed surgery. I had a mass effect Bulge 12 mm on my spine. I was in total oblivious to knowing I needed to fix with it with surgery. Plus I ran out of medicine during Christmas. My issues are organization and terrible dexterity.i have dropped my pills and lost them and forgotten many things. I am finished with a firm for medication management. This firm would have helped us all had they done a patient introductory course. Instead their Dr sends me home with sorry -you are not getting your pain meds and just in case you get some off the street here’s some Nar Cann?. Really?

Dr Chen spent about 3 minutes with me, labeled me as an addict without asking ANY medical questions or asking me any of my medical issues/history. He came across as rude, arrogant, cocky...I’ve spent 15 years seeing drs, plus grew up with several in my family, and this was hands down the worst I’ve ever met. See anyone else.

He will label you as a addict and does not care that you hurt at all, he does not care about you,he is rude he will cut you off while you talk and does not care what you have to say you are automatically an addict in his eyes

Dr Chen does not read patient files he bases all of his conclusions on assumptions. If he took the time to get familiar with his patients, their files and them as a person perhaps he would not be such a bully with a God complex. He assumes every patient is the same and he refuses to be a doctor and only pushes what ever mood he is in for that day. He comes across as rude and uncaring.
