Dr. Andre Miklos Jakoi, MD

Dr.Jakoi performed a microdiscectomy on my son's lower back, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the care and expertise he provided throughout the entire process. From our initial consultation to post-operative follow-ups, Dr. Jakoi was thorough, compassionate, and reassuring. The surgery was a complete success—my son experienced significant relief from his symptoms and has been recovering well ever since. I would highly recommend Dr. Jakoi to anyone in need of spinal surgery. He made a stressful situation much easier to navigate.

I have always had great experiences with Dr Jakoi during visits and his staff has been great. He helped me tremendously for a disc herniation in my neck that was causing arm weakness. Highly recommended.

Dr. Jakoi and his staff saw me after surgery by a neurosurgeon at North Kansas City Hospital left me in disarray and disabled. He, his partner Kyle and nurse Emily were wonderful. They spent time with me and ultimately, he had to redo the surgery done just months earlier. Surgery went good and Shawnee Mission Hospital was nice. They warned me that pain won’t go away immediately and they were right! But it’s been 4 months since surgery and 2 months since my pain disappeared. I can say my life has been handed back to me! I think some people don’t get that pain won’t go away immediately. I’m so grateful to Orthohealth of KC and Dr. Jakoi in particular. Recommend without reservations, any day, any time.

Went to see Dr. Jakoi for a back injury. After back surgery was and still am having severe pain where jakoi performed surgery. C.T. scan was ordered to see why Iam having pain. After ten days I got a return call from jakois nurse emily I asked her what were my results from the C.T. scan and she couldnt explain the results saying that my back pain is caused by another issue although my pain is coming from the area of my surgery at this point nurse emily got mad and hung up on me. ( check other reviews that say Jakois nurse got mad ) I am unable to talk to Jakoi he seems to hide behind nurse emily. I have been released by jakois office without any regard to my health or wellbeing. nurse emily did not display courtesy or respect because of her uncontrollable anger and rage even going as far as to slander my good name in other departments of this building. I would stay away from this group if you dont want what happened to me happen to you

Wonderful experience. The whole staff seemed top notch and able to help my leg and back discomfort. Dr. Jakoi shared his experience with my husband and I. He sat down and spoke to us like humans and not lab rats. I am very thankful that my friend, who also happens to be his patient, referred me to him. My last experience with a cold neurosurgeon had me thinking there were no more good doctors in this world. Someone wrote that they thought he walked on water. Well, maybe he is a small gift from the heavens.

Dr. Jakoi operated in 2019 on my neck and it was very successful. He then operated on my back in 2022. Both times he was pleasant to interact with and always took his time to explain things and spoke to me as a person, not a number. His helper Kyle is wonderful and his nurses are very sweet. I have recommended him to many of my peers at the church who need orthopedic help.

Dr. Jakoi fixed my shattered leg on Xmas. He was very polite and his surgery allowed me to walk again. I can’t thank him enough for all his time and care, especially on a holiday.

Dr. Jakoi was very kind to my mother whom he saw in the hospital. After breaking her back and hip, we thought her life may be coming to an end. He was thoughtful and took multiple opportunities to discuss options with our family. We finally settled on hip repair and no surgery for her back. It took a while but she’s back to her old self and we are so thankful!

Very nice young man. He was able to do a small surgery on my back and make my pain go away.
