Bad experience with this doctor, must have too many patience. Doesn't remember what he tells you at your last appointment. My appointment was a waste of time. Have to sit along time to be seen.

Always wonderful very knowledgeable took great care of me

sometimes a long wait but so worth it! love Dr. Kasko!

This doctor cares only about money , all he does is perscribe you drugs and sends you on your way all the time.

Dr. Kasko truly does not seem to care about his patients concerns at all. The first time I sat down to talk to him, he listened but didn't have much to say, sent me over to HDMC for some more testing. The next visit he was so in a rush that he barely gave me the time of day. I was so frustrated that I never bothered completing what I was going there for and had to take matters into my own hands. I'm completely discouraged about going here for any other problems I may have, which is unfortunate because the options for Yucca Valley ladies are extremely limited.

First of all, I never write reviews, but I am so disappointed in the care or lack of care that I received recently from Dr. Kasco. I first went to see Dr. Kasko for a pap smear and checkup. I am 59 years old and it had been a while. My husband and I bought a house in Rimrock for weekends and vacations. The rest of the time we are in Claremont, where we own a small business. I work a lot. I hadn't felt good for a while and knew that I needed to see a doctor. Like so many small businesses we don't have health insurance...yet. So, everything comes out of pocket. I chose a doctor in Joshua Tree because we are in the desert on weekends and days off. Went in to see Dr. Kasko, but saw a midwife, Jodie and someone that appeared to be a student. They were very nice. When all was done they said they would call me with results, if there was a problem. That was weird to me. I'm used to hearing my results from the doctor either through phone call or letter. They also ordered a mammogram and blood… work from a different location. I didn't hear a word for 3 weeks. I made a phone call because here I had paid out $500 so far with no call or results. Then I called the doctor's office to ask if anything came back yet. The person on the phone answered, "yes, the doctor wants to see you". Then I get a letter in the mail saying they found a cystic mass in my left and they recommended an ultrasound. I go in to see Doctor Kasko but again I see Jodie. She read my blood results and also mentioned the ultrasound. I scheduled it across the street at the HDMC. There I met Dr. Stephen Saponaro. He was rude to me and the technician, but that's another story. After reading the mammogram and ultrasound scans he wanted to do a biopsy. I agreed and scheduled it. One week later I hear from the hospital that I needed to have all my blood work done again, which upset me because I just received the results after 3 weeks of me waiting to hear. The day of the biopsy I was told that I needed to see Doctor Kasko so he could sign off on my blood work before the scheduled procedure at 9:30 am. Everyone that works in his office knew this was the case and that he needed to see me at 8:45 so I could go back to the hospital for the biopsy...it was their screw up! He finally saw me just before 9:30. Knew nothing about me and yet all of the test that were ordered were by him. Didn't even read my chart...rushed through asking me questions that he should have known. i then finish with him...not a good luck, Susie, thank you, Susie or don't let the door hit you, Susie. I had my biopsy from Dr. Stephen Saponaro and was told that I would receive my results in 3 to 5 days. My 87 year old mother from North Carolina and my three children and my husband are all asking me every day if I heard anything yet? I called the doctors office 3 times within 10 days and was told that as soon as the results arrived they would call me. No call! I called today and young lady on the line said "I'm not sure" "I'll go look". I said to her that my family keeps asking...they were worried. She came back to the phone a few minutes later and said "yes they are here" I asked what the results were? She said "um says you are okay, it's not cancer" I was so relieved! I then asked when the results came and she answered "2 days ago", but we don't call unless the results were bad" That is unacceptable! I have paid over $2,000 out of pocket for all of this and haven't been billed for the radiologist yet. This is an indecent way to treat patients..making them wait like this, it's horrible and abusive. I feel so sorry for the women in the High Desert. They have one Ob/Gyn from Palm Springs to Twentynine Palms to choose from and he doesn't seem to care. Maybe you are understaffed, but people deserve good healthcare and answers.

This doctor does not have time for his pateints, he does not lisen or hear when you have a concern about your own health.He gives medication when not needed he prescribed a med. Find out I didnt even need it, he is rude, why does he bother to help women when he doesnt care or have time. Retire doctor!

I found out I was pregnant two weeks after my husband deployed and this doctors office was not at ALL accommodating. We were yelled at for skyping during my first ultrasound, I was lied to about the ultrasound. I was ignored for over an hour and a half after my appointment because the doctor was away, no one told me he was away, I was just ignored. Threw a FIT about printing an extra photo of baby so I could send it to my husband. Everyone in the office was overall RUDE and ruined my first ultrasound of my first child.

When I first met Dr. Kasko I had a great feeling about him, he's kinda hard to understand when he speaks or explains things but I'm glad he took me in when I was 27 weeks pregnant with my third girl. I transferred from Las Vegas and was worried about haveing someone take me in , well Dr. Kasko did (: the staff in his office are very nice and polite and I should say very honest with questions I have about anything. It's also been easy to get an appointment , Dr. Kasko meets me at the window to make sure all goes well (:

I wrote the review about being grateful for his care in the high desert. I just had my third baby. I delivered at Desert Regional because I no longer live in the high desert area. I am telling you the Hi Desert Medical Center labor and delivery is the BEST! At Regional, you have to be wheeled all the way down to the furthest wing from labor and delivery to their "postpartum" area. It is creepy, the furniture is old and dirty, and you want to get out of there ASAP! I had a vaginal delivery, but I would have gone nuts recovering from a c/s! We got lucky and got to have our own room (my husband and I), but if you have to share (sometimes three to a room), your husband will NOT be allowed to stay the night! And you are sharing a postpartum toilet with two other postpartum women, if you catch my drift, gross! On top of that, Regional has a lot of "traveling nurses" who are uninformed about hospital procedures and do not know what they are doing! Hi desert was a fabulous experience! All in… one room, royal treatment by fabulous, kind nurses who know all about their hospital! I had my first two babies there and it was such a great experience, and my most recent experience at Regional left much to be desired! Please go take a tour of Hi Desert! Your birth experience stays with you for life! Do not listen to the folks that put Hi Desert down if they've never delivered there! Those Regional gals don't know what they missed (plus they had to drive further!)
