Dr. Panagos received his medical degree and Master of Science degrees from St. Georgeâ€™s University, School of Medicine. Dr. Panagos is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at New York University Langone Medical Center. He previously served as an Assistant Attending Physiatrist at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital and as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College. He was the founding co-director of The Spine Center at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital and was the recipient of the first Willibald Nagler Clinical Scholar Award. Dr. Panagos was also honored with the 2009 Resident teaching award in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College.
Dr. Panagos has been involved in medical education for many years, including research articles, textbook chapters, television and magazine interviews and has given many national and international lectures. Dr. Panagos released his textbook, Spine-A Rehabilitation Medicine Quick Reference, in 2010 which broadly covered the complex field of spine care and is looking forward to releasing several more titles for his patients.
