Andrea Ancer Leal, DNP, PMHNP-BC, LMSW, is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner and clinical social worker committed to supporting adults and professionals in the greater Seattle, Washington area. With over ten years of experience in mental health settings, Dr. Ancer Leal offers personalized care and collaborative treatment planning for patients struggling with anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, ADHD, stress, personality disorders, sleep problems, disordered eating behaviors, loneliness, among many other conditions. Psychiatric Evaluation

A comprehensive psychiatric evaluation for adults includes obtaining a detailed history of presenting problem(s), past psychiatric and medical history, gathering information about various psychosocial factors, support network, and strengths. 

Evaluation Might Also Include:

• Review and completion of rating scales 
• Laboratory testing 
• Obtaining collateral information from previous records or other members of your healthcare team, including therapist.

Dr. Ancer will then develop a formulation/assessment and provide guidance about treatment recommendations which might include medication, psychotherapy, or a combination of both. She will work to collaborate with you and possibly other providers, where necessary, to develop goals for treatment and provide evidence-based treatment recommendations.
