She gave me a script for an nsaid after elbow surgery after I explained to drs office I cannot take NSAIDs. I told Dr this in his office. My husband told the nurse at hospital early in the day around 2:00 pm. The practitioner never called in anything else for pain relief. I called office after I returned home she said she’d call in a pain script for 20 pills . Two minutes later said no she’d call in only a few until Monday because she said I am on two different anti anxiety meds which one is which is a muscle relaxer! I said the scripts are for muscle pain and rarely used. She should know this as a nurse practitioner that a muscle relaxer is not an anti anxiety medicine . She has the audacity to say the nsaid was in my iv. I explained I have no control over what is used in my iv. She gave me the take it or leave it attitude. I wasn’t going home to mix up all my scripts and make a cocktail. I had to call another ortho doctor in the practice who was suprised nothing was given for… pain. He called in a script asap. I’m not a drug seeker or abuser, no patient after surgery should ever suffer in pain after surgery ! She was rude, and dismissive and disrespectful to my pain management! I never dealt with this after any other surgery I had. I also never had any Dr had out opioids like candy. A script was written and that was all. Rarely was it refilled. Terrible, terrible practitioner!
