Dr. Andrea Buras, MD

Dr. Buras is a gynecologic oncologist at the Pastega Regional Cancer Center. She specializes in complex pelvic surgery to treat cancers of the cervix, uterus, fallopian tubes and ovaries, as well as vulvar and vaginal surgery. She has a special interest in treatment and prevention of cancers arising from genetic conditions as well as HPV-related disease. Dr. Buras uses genetic information to tailor care options including traditional chemotherapy and targeted treatments. She chose her specialty because she is passionate about women’s health. She considers it a privilege to care for women during their journey with cancer. She uses evidence-based medicine and emphasizes education and shared decision-making so each patient can make the best decision. In her free time, Dr. Buras enjoys spending time outdoors, especially hiking and paddleboarding with her dog.
