She put my kid on meds And my X-wife was on the zoom call with her with in 30mins she put her on 2 more meds. I have been calling and calling to find out why she feels my 13 year needs to be on all the meds

Because Dr. Chamberlain has been through two residency programs I trust her judgment more than other doctors. She has always given me the best advice relating to psychiatric problems in the context of medical issues. The office is good but nowhere is perfect, and the office manager recently had some health problems, but I wouldn't go anywhere else.

I don't think she has office staff at all. No one answers the phone and no one checked my benefits. Apparently she takes my insurance, but not the plan I'm on and I didn't even get a bill. I was sent directly to collections for the whole billable amount. I had to dispute a the balance, because she didn't let the collections agency know that I paid her $75. Messed up my credit and the service was the same level as a free-clinic. Save your money and just go to professional, because that's not what she is.

Dr. Chamberlain is the first doctor who spent a lot of time with me to really figure out the issues, and what medicine would be best for ALL of my symptoms. Every other doctor I have been to has always just given me a medication. Dr. Chamberlain spent the time to go through each medication available and the side effects, and to make sure that what we chose together was the right medication for me.

Dr. Chamberlain charges for filling out paperwork. This was irritating - but only after I saw another provider did I realize all of the things most of them charge for that she doesn't. I should have stayed with her.

Reading these reviews I am really mystified by some of them - one is talking about therapy??? Everyone going to a psychiatrist nowadays should be aware that psychiatrists can't do therapy anymore. They prescribe medications - that's all insurance reimburses for. It has been that way for at least the last 25 years... Do some of these people not know the difference between a psychiatrist and a psychologist? I have been in MANY a psychiatrist's office in the past and Dr. C is by far the nicest and most down to Earth you will ever find. She has walk in hours every single week specifically so that if anyone ever has a problem getting through on the phone they can get their needs met. She is very supportive of alternative medicine. We have discussed options related to this several times and she has recommended specialist evaluations to rule out certain conditions, like hormone deficiencies. If I want to go off medication for a while she supports that, but I know only with certain conditions… is that a possibility... I will never go to another psychiatrist, ever, she is the best out there.

If all you need, as a patient, is someone to prescribe medication, then this may be the doctor for you. My husband (who suffers from depression) went to this MD for maintenance therapy and medication (prescription refills). At first, we were pleased to have this specialized care. However, this doctor is a "pill pusher" pure and simple. Not much, if any, therapy and no return phone calls (after three attempts) when my husband was experiencing a serious health crisis. We have moved on. We are not feeling the love and cannot, in good conscious, recommend this doctor.

THIS AWESOME DOCTOR NO LONGER WORKS AT DIRECTIONS - FYI THE NUMBER IF YOU WANT TO CHECK FOR NEW PATIENT OPENINGS AT THE 66TH ST OFFICE IS 727 518 6444. IT TOOK ME SEVERAL CALLS BEFORE I REALIZED THE VITALS INFORMATION WAS INCORRECT.....

I would recommend Dr. Chamberlain to anyone seeking guidance or therapy. She knows how and what to ask a patient in order not only to find out how to find a diagnosis but to help a patient discover their own path to identity and better pathways through life...less anxiety and happiness!

Dr. Chamberlain is always there to help, whether it's a question, records, or just a note for work. She has always been open with me about any medications and side effects. I have a very hard time finding a doctor that can deal with me and that I trust. She has been such a life saver in my life. So grateful to have been referred to her.
