Dr. Andrea Jeanne Franchett, MD

She is very kind and was actually interested in what I had to say instead of just barging in and giving a generic diagnosis.

My wife and I have the highest regard for Dr. Franchett. She is personable, understanding, very patient and a wonderful listener. Not only is she smart, but she seems to really like being a physician. She always makes you feel as if you are her only patient. She's great!!!!!!

I have had a series of physicians through this practice. Each one, after a year or so sent the, now familiar, letter expressing regret and thanks and declaring that she/he was moving on to another practice. Each time, I'd have to scramble to familiarize myself with a new physician and visa versa. When I finally landed upon Andrea Franchette, I was thrilled. She had seen me on an emergency appointment when my regular physician was not on duty. I had badly sprained my ankle. Franchette was careful, considered all parts of me, not just my ankle, but my whole life, and gave thorough eye to eye (not authority to sheep) explanations informing me with the answers to every question I had, even the deep questions that went well beyond what most patients ask. She really loves being a doctor (my first requirement), and she truly relishes the challenge of diagnosing off-brand conditions (my unfortunate specialty). She is human, humane, has a good sense of humour, spends time with me, gives… reviews of doctors to whom she refers me, and explains why she has chosen the treatment path that she has chosen. I really couldn't be more pleased. Any delays or problems making appointments are not of her doing, but are generalized at the office organizational level (which is pretty good, really). Both my twins (now 22) who are disabled with neurological, developmental, chemical challenges are seeing physicians in the same office. I like the place. I have just heard that Dr.Franchette has decided to "move on". This time, I think I'll follow her to her new practice. She's worth it.Tobie Shapiro
