Dr. Andrea Tesvich Murina, MD

One of the best dermatologists I’ve ever had. She’s attentive and listens and takes your input on your preference of treatment. Would highly recommend.

I've seen Dr. Murina twice now. I have only gone in for a basic mole check/removal, but she has always been very attentive and polite. She answers all of my questions and she seems very knowledgeable. I've been seeing Dermatologists for eleven years and she is my favorite.

Dr. Murina is inexperienced and condescending. She is very young, and clearly unaware that her patients may also be intelligent and in possession of multiple degrees. My healthcare clinic regularly rotates attending dermatologists in and out of the position - I see whomever is there when I go to see my internist. I had been to the dermatologist on staff 3 months prior to when Dr. Murina became the dermatologist du jour. She refused to refill my prescription for chronic psoriasis that her predecessor had just given me until I came to see her in person. It took 9 months to be able to do that - only to be treated by a condescending, inexperienced doctor. When I went to finally fill the prescription a year after I had initially seen her predecessor, the insurance company needed her to over-ride their arbitrary limit on volume (the smallest size is 50 ml, the insurance company wouldn't fill anything over 25 ml without the doctor's input.) Dr. Murina ignored the request for days, and I… had to call repeatedly to get her to respond. She is the only doctor I've ever seen who actually impeded my getting the care I need. AND she's rude. I do not recommend her.

Dr. Murina prescribed Tri Luma to me which gave me rosacea (for which there is no cure). I have spent over a thousand dollars out of my own pocket trying to control it after leaving her office. My current dermatologist's office said they would never prescribe Tri Luma because they know of the extreme danger. Murina indicated I probably had rosacea before Tri Luma, which I ABSOLUTELY did not! This angered me because it was obvious she was trying to wash her hands of any responsibility. She needed to give me more information on this dangerous cream and not be so defensive when a cream she prescribed creates rosacea. I have HUGE red spots on my face that will probably never go away now thanks to Murina. Rosacea can also affect your vision too.
