Won't help you unless you prove you're not a junkie. Then, when she does help, will only give you minimal relief for several 9. Won't consider alternative procedures or stronger meds unless you're terminal or have cancer. She'll let you live with 6-7 pain levels without a care in the world. She could care less what your quality of life is. If you refuse to do the procedures she wants, she won't listen to any other suggestions, even if they are by other doctors.

I met Dr. Nicol in the hospital, after my 5th spine surgery. In my previous surgeries, my pain had been difficult to control and I spent days sometimes in agony. Dr. Nicol was there from the onset, making adjustments and exhibiting genuine human concern as she reassured me that they would get it under control. And they did. Because of her, I suffered less and so did my family who has to stand by and watch whatever I am going through. Unfortunately, surgery did not cure it all and I continue to battle severe and chronic pain. I don't however have the feelings of fear, isolation and hopelessness that God-awful pain can bring though because Dr. Nicol is there, helping me fight. She's smart. She listens, adjusts and suggests alternative treatments that have helped. She has a lot of tricks up her sleeve and if you live with the kind of pain I do you, you will be glad of that. Over the years I have seen pain management doctors at Cedars Sinai and Kerlin Jobe and I was… frankly turned off to the field of pain management until that surgery forced me back. What a difference in her. She's a good doctor who demonstrates a command of her field as well as human concern and kindness. These last two are important for all doctors but especially for one who deals with constant, long term and severe pain. I get high quality health care from her and her office and I'm very, very grateful for it. You will be in good hands with her.

Dr. Nicol has great bedside manner. I feel so lucky to have found such a caring and excellent physician!

Dr. Nicol is a fantastic and educated dr. I had chronic back pain that she addressed with proper treatment and medication. I can live a normal life now because of her.
