Dr. Andrea Renae Sandoval, MD

She was rude and did not follow standard protocol. She made it clear the visiting the room was not her job, but was an in convenience.

Dr. Sandoval is an acquired taste because she is not a warm and fuzzy doctor. However, she IS a smart doctor. I have been in her care for five years now and appreciate her willingness to avoid prescribing medicine at every appointment; she analyzes blood work first before ascertaining a need for more drugs. She may appear off putting, but I believe that is because Hays Med pressures their docs to adhere to quotas and other demands, sapping them of time and energy that would better be spent on patients.

Awful experience. The physician spent a very limited time talking to me, bedside manner was poor, and was very condescending. She referenced my COPD , which I do not have, instead of asthma. Spent more time dissing smokers than she did focusing on the reason I was there. Even stated her parents smoking caused her deafness. Then stated that COPD and Asthma were the same due to smoking. She did not read my history. Then knowingly prescribed 2 medications that are not supposed to be taken together which created a severe reaction. That is poor doctoring. Maybe she should spend more time listening to her patients instead of talking down to them and she wouldn't make such awful mistakes. I will never go back to her. Everyone else in the practice, nurses, CNA's, office staff were great.

She is rude and condescending. There is no way I would recommend her. At all. Horrible.

Dr. Sandoval has done an exceptional job with my mother's and sister's medical care. I contribute her thoroughness in lab analysis, diagnostic screening and genuine patient relationship building to basically saving my mother's life more than once from some very dire illnesses. Dr. Sandoval goes beyond the obvious and considers all medical implications before reaching a diagnostic conclusion - getting to the root of the problem efficiently. She has a wonderful disposition with patients and demands excellence from staff and providers. Highly recommended.
