Dr. Andrea Nicole Weber, MD

I have been a patient of Dr. Weber's for just about a year. In that time, I have seen her at the University of Iowa around seventeen times (I think. Maybe more.). She and her associates have truly changed--maybe even saved--my life. I have been receiving treatment for depression for many years, but only in the last couple of years have I finally explored the idea of getting help for my decade-long substance abuse issue. On that front, Dr. Weber has been an indispensable resource. I am so glad I found her. Corny and cliche though it may be, she is more than just a doctor--she's a healer. She listens patiently and provides input from the heart. She is professional, but easy-going. She is experienced enough that nothing ever seems to surprise her. She possesses a bottomless well of substance abuse knowledge and treatment information that she shares in a very helpful manner. She works with you to develop a plan that you can realistically follow. Whatever ideal characteristics or… qualifications you would hope for in a physician, I can guarantee Dr. Weber exceeds expectations. I have seen many psychiatrists in the last seventeen years. I have been to one other opiod addiction clinic, at which I saw around seven other providers. Dr. Weber makes them all look like a bunch of hacks. I saw that she had a one-star rating on this website, which isn't surprising given that her practice mostly involves people with various psychological imbalances or disorders, and some of her patients are court-mandated to seek treatment.
