The kind of doctor you hope and pray for. Dr. Cruz is highly qualified and takes excellent care of you. I have been two several different dermatologist and they all pale in comparison to Dr. Cruz, He is compassionate and very competent, if you’re looking for an outstanding dermatologist Dr. Cruz is your man.

An excellent doctor who really takes an interest in you and listens to your needs. Dr. Cruz is skilled, caring, and very reassuring to a patient who is scared of going to the doctor. Very happy that my primary doctor referred me to him.

Dr. Cruz first and foremost needs to improve his people skills. Uses medical jargon which is difficult to follow. Has a stop watch to limit visits to 15 minutes (literally). And indicated he was not a " concierge doctor" Do not know if the time restriction is imposed by Scripps Encinitas.

The problem here is that this is an office with only one physician, and sometimes you have to wait a month just to see him even if you have an urgent problem.

I was referred to Dr. Cruz via my regular doctor. I had a few procedures and ended up having some complications, Jeannette at the front desk was quick to get me in to follow up with Dr. Cruz. He fixed my issues and now I'm feeling great.. Really great staff always friendly and attentive. Highly recommend this office!!

Do not see Dr. Cruz unless you want to talk to a textbook. He reguritates so much medical jargon that I can't get a word in edgwise to even ask a question. He is also overly cautious - and fixates on one thing - repeating himself over and over. Two separate times, his first diagnosis was not right, and he tried passing me off to another specialist instead of working with me to help solve the problem. I don't believe he truly cares for his patients or cares about the outcomes.
