Dr. Andres Esteban Martin, MD

I am a close family member of a patient of his at a psychiatric hospital . I e learned that every one of his patients have declined in their mental states and their psychiatric symptoms have gotten worse and then some because of his sudden medication changes that don’t make sense! It’s as though he is using everyone es experiments for pharmaceutical companies or he’s making money for the state by keeping patients there longer. He does not spend any time with his patients and doesn’t seem to really have their wellness and health in mind. He is cold, careless and disconnected. When my family member was discharged he was taken to another doctor who was extremely confused and concerned at the medications that Dr. Martin had been prescribing. He seem incredibly incompetent and dangerous. He is not helping his patients one bit and should not be practicing as he is a danger.

My only explanation for any positive reviews is the set up of this rating system. If you're not careful it will give him 5 stars no matter what you type. I almost did and would have done everything in my power to remedy that. He has. NO bedside manner; doesn't LOOK at you and barely says 2 words. This man is condescending,, belittling and skeptical in the few words he does use. There was so much dead air I wanted to scream. He is no doctor, but a sadist.. Highlands County Is so desperate for psychiatrists it's hiring the sludge from the bottom of the swamp. DONT USE HIM.
