He is the best.

Here's the difference between a physician and an administrator: If an administrator is called to a bureaucratic meeting, he thinks nothing of cancelling his patients. A physician if he is called to the same meeting, reschedules the meeting because he has patients. Dr. Alexis is among the former.

Have only had good visits with him. He explained everything to me. He was nice. He gave me options. The medication helped. He put me on a so called Biologic medication. Had seen other docs in the past. Nobody ever mentioned alternative or better medication to me before. I am forever grateful.

I have seen numerous different doctors who told me that there was nothing I could do about the uneven skin tone on my face. It's my face! It's very bad. Gotta be able to do something. I have spent a pretty penny at Sephora trying to help myself. My hairdresser told me about Dr. Alexis and I could not be happier. First of all - he listened to me. Not everyone could be bothered. After a few treatments my skin is clear and I have the confidence I should have had a long time ago. Never going anywhere else.

Dr was patient; however, as a new Dr was patient; however, I waited over an hour and a half due to the scheduled patient's late arrivals. Also, the prescribed medications cost over $250 & the Dr never returned my 2 phone calls when I needed & requested a lower priced Rx. Very disappointing as a Chair of the Department.

Have seen Dr. Alexis twice and although the first visit was basically a "getting to know you visit", the second one was terrific!. He paid close attention to my concerns and gave me viable alternatives to my situation.

I first met Dr. Alexis about 15 years ago when the skin on my entire body broke out into some terrible allergic reaction of some sort. Nobody knew what it was. My face blew up (angioedema) like the Elephant Man's and I had HUGE hives over every inch of my skin. I saw several dermatologists--one white woman refused to even touch me. She walked away from me and said to find someone else. Dr. Alexis, on the other hand, told me to come right in on the same day. He had a group of colleagues (maybe residents I don't know) from St. Luke's there who took pictures and brought them to a meeting in order to figure out what I could possibly have. It turned out eventually to be an extreme reaction to BEXTRA which was like VIOXX--it was taken off the market shortly thereafter (and not a moment too soon! The FDA does it again!). Some people contracted Steven's Johnson's Syndrome from the Bextra and some even died. It was a nightmare. I had hives the size of large organges on me. And then… the skin on my legs became bright red and circular. Dr. Alexis, along with an allergist named Roger Emert, took care of me. They treated me with such respect and decency. I never felt like the diseased piece of sickness that that uptight stick-up-her-butt white lady I went to made me feel like. She just about told me not to come back--that she didn't do "that kind of work." What a gem, huh? Dr. Alexis was and has remained my dermatologist for the past 15 years. (I see him for other skin problems; the rash I referred to earlier cleared up under his guidance very shortly after I started seeing him.) He is patient, quiet-spoken and very serious about not wasting people's time and getting the diagnosis right. He wants to give every patient the best of his expertise and he does so. He's not loud or obnoxious (thank you, Jesus!), and some people mistake this for something other than what it is: a diligent doctor giving you his best. He's very good diagnostically. In fact, he was the only doctor who could figure out that I didn't have some sort of EBOLA virus or something when I first contacted him 15 years ago. If you want the best from a doctor who will treat you respectfully and professionally at all times, see Dr. Alexis. You will be very glad you did.

He was very professional, courteous and informative. I am very pleased with my overall experience and would recommend him highly.

Nice guy. Smart. No-nonsense. I have seen him for 3 years and he is the best. I once saw somebody else. You don't know what you have until you lose it. He is the best. Will stay with him until he retires!
