Wrong diagnosis, poor bedside manner, made me feel very dismissed. I am a healthcare professional with 15 years of experience in many different areas of acute care. When I explained my symptoms and what I think it is please do not dismiss me and try to say it is another completely different diagnoses just because it something that you have had before. Patient know their own bodies, please listen to them.

I was fortunate to see Dr. Allen at UAB Urgent Care. He was right on top of the situation. I have severe asthma, and had suffered consequences from a bad cold I had gotten. It had gotten into my lungs. He treated me and originally I responded very well to the treatment, however, I had some complications and had to go back about 10 days later as what had been working took a turn for the worse. He adjusted my medications, and instead of putting me in the hospital, he gave me individualized treatment including portal follow-up, since everything they would do for me at the hospital, I was already on at home including nebulizers and such. The main two additions were antibiotics and steroids. After xrays revealed that there was a bit of pneumonia that was trying to set itself up in my lungs, he blasted my system with several antibiotics at once and I made a full recovery. He was wonderful
