Dr. Andrew Michael Belavic, MD

I have had pain in my back and neck for years now, the orthopedic referred me to him and when I said why he laughed at me. I am a 28 year old single mother with cronic pain. I have state insurance and as soon as he noticed what insurance I had he stared being short with me. He did not sit and listen to me and what I was dealing with throughout the day. I would not recommend any one go to him. Very rude and not at all understanding!

He was the anesthesiologist in one of my surgeries. In the post-op recovery room, I woke up to EXTREME pain. I remember sitting up and it seemed like forever for them to put me out. I remember the nurse asking him if it was okay to give me more drugs. Also, enough time to remember thinking that I will have to tip the gurney over to get them to respond. Should have screamed but I was trying to be respective of the other patients. I will never forget that for the rest of my life. Side note, in that short time frame I had to have multiple surgeries. The others I did wake up but without any pain. Apparently, Elmhurst Anesthesiologist will not put in his file that he is not to see me ever again. They recommended that I tell the Surgeon that I do not want him. Hopefully, I never need emergency surgery!
