Dr. Andrew Beros, MD

After waiting two months for an appointment with Dr. Andrew Beros, I arrived at his office on 11/24/2025 for my 10:30 AM appointment. I checked in at 10:20 AM, paid my copay, and was physically placed in the exam room at 10:30 AM, my scheduled appointment time. Despite this, a nurse came in and informed me that Dr. Andrew Beros would not see me because I had not arrived 15 minutes prior to the appointment. This made no sense, as I was already checked in and in the room at the scheduled time. There was no flexibility, no attempt to resolve the situation, and no consideration given to the fact that I had already been waiting two months to be seen. I had been dealing with a severe sinus infection for more than two months, which is why I scheduled the appointment in the first place. To have the visit canceled under these circumstances was extremely frustrating, disappointing and unprofessional. Patients deserve clear policies, consistent communication, and basic professionalism —… especially after long wait times for care. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this doctor.

I recently had parathyroid surgery with Dr. Beros. The surgery was a smooth process and quick recovery. Dr. Beros knowledge and kindness made the whole process a reassuring procedure. Dr. Beros was very thorough in explaining before and after surgery. It is comforting to have a doctor with caring hands.

Dr. Beros was nice enough, if one overlooks his controlling the patient’s narrative in order to rush through the appointment, and his not listening well. My sense was the doctor meant well enough, but he was in too much of a hurry to actually listen and to see me as a whole versus one condition by itself. The consult report showed one detail wrong (he jumped to a conclusion), he gave me partial information, and he repeatedly interrupted me to “direct" me, so I never even got the chance to tell him one of my ears had been hurting. Two days after the appointment, i was in urgent care for an ear infection. How does one go to an ENT specialists with an ear infection symptom and it is missed entirely by the doctor? He didn’t let the patient speak freely and he hurried through the appointment, that’s how. I am looking for a new ENT.

Dr Beros was extremely kind and confident with me during my surgery experience. His team was amazing and answered all my questions. My surgery to remove a parathyroid gland went without a hitch and he spent extra time making sure my other glands were in good working condition. You can look, but you won't find a better physician nor a nicer man to care for you. Thanks Doc!

I needed to get both ears drilled for over a decade. Multiple people recommended Dr. Beros who did Surfer's Ear surgery on each of my ears about a month apart. I experienced no pain with either procedure and was back in the water 3 weeks after the second one. Everything about the experience was a good as I could have hoped. If you need to have this done, you should call Dr. Beros and don't wait as long as I did.

I saw Dr. Beros shortly after I received a thyroid cancer diagnosis. I was afraid of next steps, surgery, recovery, setbacks, and everything in-between. Dr. Beros was amazing from that first appointment all the way to my post-op appointment, performing the surgery and putting my mind at ease throughout the process. I was nervous about surgery and recovery, but everything was much better and easier than anticipated. He did an amazing job during the surgery, ensuring the cancer was removed, and my scar is virtually non existent. In fact, no one can tell I recently had surgery and it’s right on my neck. I highly recommend Dr. Beros!

After visiting 3 ENT doctors, over 2 years, I read about Dr Beros in a Surfer Magazine Post, and decided to have him do my operation. The operation has evolved over the years, and after 47 years of surfing(95 percent closure in both ears), I decided on Dr. Beros, for my operation. His technique allows for the quickest, least painful recovery of anyone I've heard of, or read about. And indeed, things went so well, that I am having the other ear done, by Dr. Beros, next month, and have no anxiety, due to his highly advanced method. I would have had both ears done years ago, if I had known of Dr. Beros. I feel very lucky to have found Dr. Beros, and highly recommend his expertise.

This man is an absolute miracle!! I am so so grateful that I somehow got referred to him and his practice by my endocrinologist, randomly enough, thank God :) I had a lump behind my left ear that was growing and growing and becoming more painful as the year had gone on. I went to several other doctors and a dermatologist back home in New Orleans, all of which said it was nothing to worry about, it would go away, it was a cyst, a pimple. No one could give me a straight answer, let alone a proper diagnosis. I was fortunate to relocate to San Diego for work and this man thankfully got referred to me during a endo appointment! I can't express how incredible it felt to have someone PROPERLY diagnose me, to not feel like it was all in my mind and to know it was in fact something that did indeed need to come out. Dr. Beros scheduled me for a paroditidectomy surgery for a few months later. I have never had a surgery before, so I was full of worry and questions. Dr. Beros was absolutely… wonderful at putting any worries at ease and by explaining in detail what I should expect during and post surgery. Day of the surgery he came to chat with me several times to ease my worries and took time right before I went under to reassure me all would be fine. The surgery went well, thank God! HE IS AMAZING!! I had no nerve damage or issues AT ALL after surgery. I had a bit of asymmetry the first 2 weeks when trying to smile, but that's to be expected and completely is gone now. I have to say I didn't prepare for how intense of a surgery it was for my recovery. The first week is obviously the most painful/difficult with the headpiece on, not sleeping much and the no showering fully. I loved not being able to chew for a few weeks though, the bonus of the surgery to loose a few pounds too! :) I would honestly say to prepare for a good 3 weeks off to recover, atleast that was my experience. I didn't feel up to much till the 3 week mark (not ideal with a toddler at home!). Getting the headpiece off was definitely one of the best times in my life! :) It was so nice to get that off and wash my hair. Simple pleasures. By 4 weeks I was sleeping back in a bed/on my other side, I was driving and doing most of my usual routine, minus cardio. I also finally felt able to chew normally then too. I recommend getting a wedge pillow for post surgery to sleep upright comfortably. And lots and lots of smoothies. For the first week be sure to have a friend or loved one/spouse around to help you do ...pretty much everything! I so hope this helps someone else who is lucky enough to find this man. He truly is amazing and an absolute Godsent. If I hadn't had this tumor properly diagnosed, it could've turned to a cancer possibly so....I am forever grateful for finding Dr. Beros. You will be too. I was referred to Dr. Beros after a diagnosis of hyperparathyroidism with suspected related osteoporosis. Dr. Beros performed a parathyroidectomy in mid May. In addition to the surgery I had two pre surgery visits and two post surgery visits. Dr. Beros is a knowledgeable and compassionate surgeon. He carefully explained the procedure in detail and very thoroughly responded to any questions that I had. His staff is equally as exceptional. I can confidently recommend Dr. Beros.

I lived in Maui where everything is great except the doctors. After several months Imaging and biopsies they still couldn't tell me what the lump in my throat was but they wanted to schedule surgery to remove it. I came to San Diego to get a second opinion and find a qualified throat surgeon in case it came to that. Dr beros not only diagnose me in record time but inform me that no surgery was necessary. Furthermore he told me the lump was simply a lymph node so swollen because it was trying to fight the cancer and had I removed it the cancer would still be at the base of my tongue where it started and I would be-1 perfectly good lymph node.
