Dr. Andrew William Black, MD

Trying to set up for an appointment. I only get a voicemail stating leave your name number and birthdate. Am a returning patient. I can't get anyone to ever call back. If this is how they do their job. I don't even want to go back. Was willing to look past yrs of being treated kind of bad & direspected but he got the job done enough to run the scopes. Enough is enough though for this business office. It's a sign to move on to a better professional ran office that actually does their job.

So this is my 2nd time here and the first time they don’t have my on the schedule which I have my paperwork in front of me that says the times and dates. They wanted me to come back 5 hours later and I said if I leave here I will go eat and find another doctor. They got me in with no problems. So today I’m Schedule for 12:15pm and they called 30mins before and said they needed to move it back an hour. I was ok with that but now I’m still sitting in the lobby waiting to be pulled back. Another patient came in and 20 mins after I did and is already back getting his procedure. This place is a freaking joke. They don’t care about their patients at all. I work for surgeons and we don’t treat our patients like this. Do get me wrong the doctor is really nice.

No bedside manner whatsoever. Very dismissive of my problems. Will not be using him again.

I wish I could give less than one star. He doesn't listen whatsoever. I went in with pain from my gallbladder, had an ultrasound and blood work. I indicated that surgery to remove the GB was absolutely my last resort and I would like to discuss options. His nurse called to schedule surgery within hours of my ultrasound. I told her I would like to discuss options and told there were none. When Dr. Black called me back he said "it's the worst gallbladder case I've ever seen." I asked if he looked at the ultrasound and he said no. So I asked how he could come to such a conclusion so quickly. He said "well the tech indicated there are shadows which could be stones and there are no other options." -- I requested my chart. EVERYTHING WAS NORMAL except for some shadowing. Also, my chart has a surgery listed that I never had for my bladder?? and my chart also says one of my main complaints was acid reflux and that he treated it with pepcid. ACID REFLUX wasn't even a complaint of mine. Awful,… awful, awful experience.

Dr. Black and all of his staff are very polite and caring. Dr. Black and Clint listen to my concerns and answer my questions thoroughly. I have been a patient for 8 years and I trust their judgement.

One of the best experiences could possibly have for Gastrointestinal issues. Dr. Black is very caring and interested in being very complete and accurately diagnosing. Prior to procedure, he explained everything in great detail. He went above and beyond in making sure I was doing well post upper GI scope. His expertise left me feeling confident that I could not have picked a better doctor for my care! Staff and nurses very nice and informative as well! Highly recommend! Gloria L

I have had three colonoscopies with Dr. Black, each three years apart and I am due for the next one. He is brusque, no bedside manner, but I thought he was at least competent so overlooked his shortcomings. Today I went to his office because I have a serious gastrointestinal problem. Hateful staff person said since I hadn’t been in the office in three years, I was not considered a patient any more so everything had to start over. First appointment would be weeks away. I told her I hadn’t been in the office because I had no reason to come - but I do now. She started filing some papers while I talked and turned away. Exceedingly rude. I left and went to my primary care doctor’s office. He got me an immediate appointment with another gastrointestinal specialist.

Very dismissive and extremely poor bedside manner. Pretty much seemed like he was just in a rush to get to the next patient and to get me out. I felt I was pushed around through the entire office.

I love Doctor Black. He was up front with me from the get go. And while I was in the hospital for colon surgery he was there daily and once he called to tell us the bad news. He came by that evening and spoke with us. Started this with him and can't see me going to anyone else. Great doctor.

I have been to Dr. Black for two colonoscopies. I won't go back again. Poor bedside manor and during my follow-up I waited an hour in the waiting room-- Then I saw out the window he arrived in his little sports car. Maybe he had an emergency, but the staff offered no apologies or excuses. I wasn't even his first appointment.
