Turbinate surgeries from ent doctors can cause Empty Nose Syndrome, which damages the nerves in your nose and makes you feel like you're suffocating. Think again before having the surgery.

Dr. Blank is a good man who cares about his patients; however, the hospital system has incompetent office management. They switched from one billing system to the next, and then tried to charge me for copays (we all know you pay those at times of service) that were already paid over and over. I communicated with his office that this was the case, and they ended up sending me to collections for a small amount of money. Another 'lab fee' for a previous visit had been paid by my HRA, and Mt. Sinai. did the same with that. Thankfully, they were able to help that time. Stay far, far, away from Mt. Sinai. It's a shame that I can't see this doctor anymore.

Dr. Blank is smart and an excellent listener and communicator. His endoscopy was very thorough. He is down to earth and a good human being.

I saw Dr. Blank for an initial appointment and sigmoidoscopy. He was really nice and friendly throughout the consultation and procedure and made me feel comfortable. He also followed up regarding lab work results promptly and gave me reference material on increasing my fiber intake. Overall, if I ever need to see a gastroenterologist again for any of the procedures, I will definitely go back to Dr. Blank. As for wait times for Dr. Blank, it was minimal at Roosevelt Hospital Doctor's Offices for the consultation, but pretty bad at the hospital where the procedures are done. My only advice would be to try to get an early appointment at the hospital to beat the crowd/delays and allocate at least 30 mins for paperwork before procedure.
