Dr Boyarski is such an awesome surgeon. After having 2 of the same surgeries I was referred to him to perform my 3rd surgery. He was very nice, professional and very respectful. I had very minimal pain post op and I'm not sure how he did. I now feel and look much than ever before. Thx Dr. You are the gratest!

He saved my life many years ago when no one else knew what to do. You are the best n no complaints at all excellent service n nurses who have n will work beside him n vice versa... Thanks

Dr. Boyarsky appears to be a straight shooter, get it done, no frills kind of man. I trust his diagnosis and medical competence. He is not a gentle, kindly, little house on the prairie, hold your hand physician. If that is what you are looking for, he's not your guy. If you want competence and skill, I recommend him. And if you like a really dry sense of humor, he might surprise you.

I was transferred to RWJ-UH after a month in another hospital with acute pancreatitis and other complications. Assigned to Dr. Boyarsky, I had an immediate battery of tests and was operated on within 48 hours. I found him to be very professional with a good bedside manner. He spoke with me the day I arrived and then the morning of my surgery, clearly explaining his plan of action. He visited me daily for the next 3.5 weeks, checking his work, asking questions, updating me on my status, etc. I always felt his complete attention to my case and NEVER ONCE sensed I was being rushed. I've since had several follow-up visits and my opinion hasn't changed.Hospital staff speak highly of his surgical skills. I know I was "one sick puppy" when I arrived at the hospital, so I'm a believer.

I recently had surgery that turned out to be more extensive than anticipated. I am so happy that Dr. Boyarsky was my surgeon. I did not find him to be arrogant. Rather I found him to be tireless in his care for his patients and fierce in seeing to it that they got the care they needed. He was knowledgeable and caring and knew just what had to be done and did it. When surgery was completed he personally called each of my children to let them know the outcome and he was always available to me and my family for any and all questions/concerns we might have both before and after surgery. I never had to wait more than 15 minutes to see him in his office and it was usually between 5 10 minutes. Thanks to Dr. Boyarsky I am now recovered, pain free and back to work. I have since learned from 3 medical professionals that they would not allow any other surgeon to operate on their relatives or themselves. Maybe he is not warm & fuzzy but I prefer that a highly qualified, knowledgeable… and caring surgeon operate on me. If I want warm & fuzzy Ill hug my Teddy Bear. Thank God for Dr. Boyarsky and his entire team and staff. I could not ask for any better.

Several scheduled appointments with Dr. Boyarsky prior to surgery required waiting over an hour to get in. The meetings felt rushed, as though he was in a hurry to catch up. Surgery went well, however, the 46 staples that covered the wound were removed (ordered by Boyarsky) on DAY 8, on a diabetic patient. Of course, on Day 10, the wound opened up - resident on call that night stated that he was holding the patient's intestines "in his hands." A second, emergency surgery was necessary to repair the damage, and things have been downhill since then. Had a follow-up CAT scan/MRI 11 days ago, the CD with the test films from the radiology department at Robert Wood was handed to Boyarsky at an appointment with him later that same day, he stated he would review it and get back with results that evening. 11 days later, still waiting. Overall, probably a good surgeon (though we won't know for sure until down the road), but the post operative care, follow-up and bedside manner leave a lot… to be desired. I'm regretting that we made the trip all the way to New Brunswick, I think we could have gotten as good, if not better, care at our local hospital.

Let's see-I am alive, cancer free and no scars after two surgeries by Dr Boyarsky. If I wanted warm and fuzzy I wouldnt expect it from a surgeon.

I really don't agree with previous comments concerning Dr. Boyarsky's bedside manner. He was very gentle and caring.
