Dr. Andrew Braziel changed my life. For 20 years I struggled with poor hip replacements in both my legs. I had lost all hope as they were both done at Beth Israel. If Beth Israel couldn't get it right, I was doomed UNTIL I met Dr Braziel. After interviewing at least 10 Orthopedic Surgeons, I finally found him. He was the only one who could tell me in five minutes just looking at an X Ray what was wrong. Doesn't say alot for the Orthopedic Surgery Profession but let's not go there. Andrew Braziel is all you need to know. He's saved my life. Try to get an appointment with him.

I can't say enough about the high quality of care provided by Dr. Braziel and his team. He's done partial replacements on both my knees and I'm very pleased with the results.

Dr. Braziel has performed two anterior hip replacements for me, four years apart. Less than 24 hours after my last surgery, I am at home, feeling very good, and on the road to recovery. I even slept last night! Dr. Braziel is approachable, pragmatic, a good listener, and most important, an excellent surgeon with deep experience and the highest credentials who is in the prime of life. I very much appreciated Dr. Braziel's Physician Assistant, Lauren Dolloff, who is warm and very knowledgeable, and who worked with me to keep me informed and answer all my questions. My first surgery was performed at New England Baptist Hospital in Boston, and the second at the NE Baptist Surgical Center in Dedham. Both were excellent. Since Baptist performs only orthopedic surgeries, the experience is in sharp contrast to conventional hospitals -- no crowded emergency rooms, people with infections, or those suffering from uncontrolled psychiatric conditions. The atmosphere is very peaceful, which… helps immensely during what can be a stressful time for many. Another positive: Dr. Braziel's avoidance of general anesthesia and intubation makes recovery time faster with less complications. When I first looked for a surgeon over four years ago, I naively assumed that NE Baptist had something to do with the Baptist religion (not that there's anything wrong with that.) Upon further research, I realized that it is first and foremost one of the finest orthopedic surgery hospitals in the world. When I told the nurse at the Dedham surgical center that I was from MetroWest Boston, she actually seemed a little surprised, the reason being that people travel from all over the country and the planet for surgeries at New England Baptist. If you are looking for a surgeon for your anterior total hip replacement, I highly recommend Dr. Andrew Braziel.

I had a knee replacement done by Dr. Braziel and I couldn't be more grateful for the care I received. The procedure went smoothly, and my recovery was excellent. I am an exercise instructor and personal trainer, so I am very active. I can do everything I did before, only better! I am now getting my other knee replaced and I would only trust him to do the surgery. He did an excellent job, and I highly recommend him to anyone needing a knee replacement.

I recently had my left hip replaced by Dr. Andrew Braziel on March 17, 2026. I am happy to report that my recovery is going very well. I am currently going to outpatient physical therapy and my hip is improving every day. I highly recommend Dr.Braziel and his staff.
