Dr. Andrew Brian Chertoff, MD

I’m upset that there is no option for no stars. No concern, no meaningful exam, no interest in the problem, no empathy. I feel sorry for anyone who sees him.

This guy is a joke. My husband was referred to him and this guy doesn't do anything but refer you out to other doctors. No physical evaluation, just a two minute expensive visit for nothing. Both his primary and PT recommended he get a steroid injection after PT didn't help his herniated disc, which chertoffs office does. He tells him that he could do it but would rather send him off to a neurosurgeon to have him do it. After multiple visits and over 1k in co pays he literally never touched his body to assess issue or to see if 3 months of PT made any improvements. It took months to get these apps and now we have to wait for a referral to yet another specialist. He could have helped his pain and severe migraines today, instead he now has to wait even longer. Avoid this doctor if you actually want proper care. Plus, the office staff are rude as shi* and reschedule you last minute and do not inform.

He has zero bedside manners and when I requested a boot instead of a cast for my foot, he was annoyed and told me no and that I can leave if I have a problem with it. He didn’t give me any advice on how to get around or how to get out of my shower safely. He rushed me out even though I had other questions. As soon as I got in the car, I could tell my cast didn’t fit right. It was tight & way more constricting than my previous casts. A few hours go by and my toes are numb, my foot is turning blue & im in more pain than I was when I felt it literally break. I call back to have it loosened and I’m told he’s gone for the day. Feeling desperate, I call a different orthopedic. I’m seen right away. He apparently had it so tight I was losing circulation. I’m also eligible for a boot which is what I initially requested and they said it’s not right that I wasn’t offered the choice to begin with. He ruined my entire day by his poor work and attitude. Will not be returning or recommending.

I recently took a fall ending up with my left wrist broken and my right wrist needing surgery. Dr. Chertoff came highly recommended by the people I knew. And I must say he lived up to his reputation. Experienced and friendly staff helped a bad experience into a tolerable one. I want to thank Dr Chertoff and his staff for exceptional care.

I recently saw Dr Chertoff for fractures to my left foot. I live in Florida and scheduled a trip to Massachusetts prior to my injury. My orthopedic doctor in Florida would not clear me to travel unless I could find an orthopedic doctor to do x-rays while I was away, as my Doctor in Florida wanted weekly x-rays. I called a few orthopedic offices but could not get an appointment. I called Dr. Chetoff’s office and was given an appointment. The staff was very friendly. Dr. Chetoff was excellent. He went over the x-rays with me and made sure I understood the severity of my fractures. I would definitely recommend him.

DR CHERTOFF , I have to say that he is the most incredible Dr that I have ever met as a orthopedic Doctor, Dr Chertoff has so much experience at what he does best for so many years ... he is very empathetic, caring and understanding to patients needs . Dr Chertoff is so good at! From from my experience, 5 Stars !

Two months ago I broke two bones in my foot. I went to Chertoff to be fixed and he told me that I didn’t need surgery. After 4 weeks the bones still weren’t healed and then at 6 1/2 weeks told me that the bones on the x-ray will show a break up to a year; not completely shattered still!! So I went for a second opinion two months later and I now have to have surgery. Chertoff doesn’t seem to care about his patients, always was in and out and didn’t feel like my concerns were heard. I will not use Chertoff again, not would I recommend him to anyone, not even my enemy

My experience with Dr Andrew Chertoff was excellent. Firstly I needed carpal tunnel surgery on left hand. Had thumb pain. Surgery was smooth no complications no more pain. Secondly I went to him with fractured right foot. He was very thorough in finding fractures because X-ray showed nothing. Cast was applied and he followed up with X-rays and removal of cast 4 weeks later. No complications. He's wonderful. Thank you Dr Chertoff

My 7 year old son was sent to him because he broke his wrist. He had him in tears when he put the cast on. Kept pulling up his thumb yelling at him "keep your thumb up, keep your thumb up!". He was crying hysterically in pain. I have never had a cast before so I was upset but didn't realize how wrong it was until we went to get the cast off. The Dr. sliced my son up and down both sides of his arm. He pinned his arm down, forced the saw into the cast, pushing his weight on the saw to cut the cast and kept pushing and cutting thru his skin. One spot he sliced is so bad it will scar. We were both screaming at him to stop, my son was jumping screaming each time he dug into his skin and he kept forcing him down and kept going saying he's fine. I looked and yelled to the assistant, "Is he supposed to be cutting him? This doesn't seem right?!". She also shook her head and said he's fine let him finish. I don't see where I can add pictures. Wish I could so everyone could see how… bad he sliced up my son.
