Dr. Andrew Sukhie Chi, MD

Dr. Chi took a wait and see approach, which I was not comfortable with, especially since this was a recurrence. I had my follow up with him after the three months he wanted me to wait, and he still wanted to "wait and see" for another three months. I went for a second opinion and the second doctor did not agree at all and said to treat it when it was small. I felt much more comfortable with the team at Sloan Kettering and am happy to report there is no progression of the cancer.

I saw Dr. Chi after my oncologist retired and he didn’t tell me what was seen in the MRI’s and when my neurologist saw my MRI, she sent me to my surgeon as it was very large and I went for another opinion with a different oncologist and was told the same thing, that I needed to have surgery. Dr. Chi never told me how big it ways, that I needed surgery, or what damage it would do to keep monitoring the tumor and not doing anything today. He chair side manner is horrible and the year and a half that I was under his care, he cares more about research and didn’t even examine me with a neurological exam. Stay far away from this doctor.

Dr. Chi is a brilliant and amazing doctor. He never rushes, answers every question, and is always cheerful and positive. When the cure for cancer comes, and it's coming soon, Dr. Chi will be in on it for sure. His PA, Thelma, is also wonderful.

I'm from the Boston area and Dr. Chi treated me after I had an anaplastic astro cytoma grade lll. My new doctor is great, but I miss him terribly. NY is so very blesses to have him.

Being a patient of Dr. Andrew Chi makes the visits less stress. He is a gem.

Dr. Chi or Andrew as I've come to know him has been everything I could have hoped for in an oncologist and more. I had been diagnosed with a grade four glioblastoma, which in most cases is a death sentence. I was one of the lucky ones to have a tumor that ultimately was not as aggressive as expected. Along the way Andrew was always informative and did so in a manner that anyone could understand. He was supportive and while he never gave false hope or needless percentages I always felt he was optimistic about the treatment he and his team could offer. Cancer free for about a year now I still have quarterly visits with Dr. Chi and continue to feel that I made the right decision by going to MGH.

Dr. Chi is courteous, respectful and answered all of my questions knowledgeably.

Dr. Chi and his team at MGH exceeded expectations in the care of my father in a very difficult situation. He spent time with our family throughout my father's illness, making sure that he understood our wishes and that we understood our options. The team aspect of the care from surgery , radiation, and psychological with Dr Chi coordinating the complete care was impressive and comforting.
