Dr. Andrew Lloyd Cope, DO

I saw Dr. Cope today for a sore throat. I was worried I had strep. He never felt my glands, which I thought was odd. He let me know that if it is strep he would prescribe an antibiotic. I asked for a prescription for Diflucan bc I almost always get a yeast infection after an antibiotic. He said no. Why? He said he doesn’t prescribe meds unless there is an illness and that I should get monostat over the counter. I told him that’s uncomfortable and diflucan knocks it out. I asked if I do feel like I have one can I call and he can write a script. He said no, that I would have to come into the office and get a swab. That is so violating and unnecessary for a yeast infection. I asked him if there was something in particular about this med that makes him reluctant to prescribe and he didn’t have an answer. I have ALWAYS had my Drs give me diflucan. I can't believe this man specializes in OBGYN.

Dr. Cope saw me when I walked in without appointment on Saturday morning. He listened well, examined my problem and asked pertinent questions, gave me several options for treatment. I agreed with his opinion no surgery was called for. We decided that I would try physical therapy, which had helped in other problems in the past. Dr. Cope seemed thoroughly professional. He has a fine bedside manner, and I'd feel comfortable consulting him if my regular physician were not available again.

Was having severe pain in my arms and all he did was tell me there was nothing wrong. A couple days later I was admitted to the hospital and had heart bypass surgery. he should concider a new profession. Terrible Doctor period!

Don’t go see him he doesn’t care. He doesn’t know what he’s doing and he tells you things to get you out of his office. Several other doctors have confirmed this in newton

Not impressed one bit about this doctors ability to help me. I left his office without knowing anything about my condition and what do do about it.

Not impressed. Condescending attitude, didn’t listen to concerns, talked down to me. Went off on a tangent about ineffectiveness of all cold medication and looked at me like I was stupid for taking any.

Poor nonchalant dr doesn't care anything about patients. Complete waste of time!

If I could give less than one star, I would. Dr. Cope obviously didn't read my chart; he tried to prescribe something that's listed in my chart as an allergen, and tried to prescribe something else for a different condition (unrelated to why I was there) based on oral history, rather than recent clinical documentation. He also made an inappropriate, sexually nuanced joke while I was in a vulnerable position regarding my relationship with my husband. And he never addressed the issue I went to him for in the first place. Granted, he's easy to get an appointment with, probably because of his poor reputation among clinic patients.

I will not make a follow up appt with this Dr I found him to be rude with no bed side manners.

This doctor was very rude and needs to work on bedside manner. Will not be seeing him ever again.
