Dr. Andrew John Cosgarea, MD

Dr. Andrew Cosgarea really impressed me. He was very involved throughout the entire process of having reconstructive ACL and knee repair. He and his staff treated me like a celebrity and post-surgery recovery has been smooth so far with Hopkin's top-notch physical therapists. I highly recommend Dr. Cosgarea and John's Hopkins.

Dr. Cosgarea is simply great. There isn’t a negative thing I could/would say about how my appointments are . Just great.

Dr. Cosgarea is phenomenal! He was attentive and took the time to make sure he understood my concerns and also to make sure I knew how to maximally recuperate after my meniscus repair surgery. Four years later, I've been exercising and running every day, which I absolutely wouldn't be able to do without the expertise and care of Dr. Cosgarea and his team!

Dr. Cosgarea is the best. Treated my daughter for a torn acl in 2013. Was easily the kindest, most competent orthopedic surgeon we met when we were going through this. Two years later, MRI showed a partial tear in the other ACL:( Took her to a top ortho in No. Va who said that ACL was functionally torn and needed surgery. Even discussed dates for surgery. Then decided to take her to Dr. C. He examine knee, said that while it was a little loose, ACL seemed functional. Told us that physical therapy should be sufficient. Thank God for him because, 4 years later her ACL is just fine! Imagine if we had gone for a surgery that was not needed! Dr. C is kind and considerate and has the best bedside manners. He does not run a chop shop but take the time needed to go over everything in great detail. What a great doctor and human being.

Dr. Cosgarea is the best. He was recommended to me when I tore my rotator cuff. I definitely needed a skilled and experienced surgeon such as Dr. Cosgarea because my shoulder was torn 360 degrees and it was a very long and difficult procedure. My shoulder is now as good as it was before the tear. I doubt that the surgery would have been as successful if I had gone to another surgeon. He also looks like Dr. Drew which is a plus.

I spent a lot of efforts to make Dr. Cosgarea my ACL surgery doctor since I know he is the best in this region. He does at least 100 ACL surgeries every year! On my surgery day, he did two in the same day! Besides as a physician role, he is a professor and the sports medicine leader in Hopkins college teams. So surely he will always use the modern solution to treat your knees. His team is surely excellent due to high bar of hopkins medicine.

Excellent, capable doctor who has tackled my rather difficult knee problem with focus and a level of professionalism I have not experienced before. I highly recommend.

As a medical professional myself, I have a hard time trusting anyone with my medical care. Being on the other side of healthcare is very difficult. Dr. Cosgarea treated me with respect and humility throughout the entire ACL repair process. My case came with some complications in the beginning and he proved to me that he was someone I could wholeheartedly trust with my health and always had my best interest at heart. He has a kind, gentle bedside manner and I truly appreciate the care that I received. He and his staff are, in my opinion, the best.

I had my ACL cirgury with Dr. Cosgarea. It was really great!!! It was like a magic think. He is very professional. I recommend him!!! He really knows what is he doing. I tear my ACL when I was skiing and also turn my MDL, the treatment was amazing.
