Andrew Cougill, MD

I'm 77 yrs old and been a patient of Dr. Cougill for over 7 years after moving to the Avon- Brownsburg area from Illinois. If I could rate the care I have received from Dr. Cougill and his office staff even higher, I wouldn't hesitate to do so. The best medical care and office efficiency I've ever experienced, and I seen many other doctors in my life, but he and his office are by far the best.

Dr Cougill has been very quick to respond to any issues. Urgency at the end of the year is very important to meet deductible requirements.

Dr. Cougill takes care of my elderly father. He was very prompt in getting him into hospital for blood transfusion.

I really like Dr. Cougill as a person but I don't feel like he truly listens to what I have to say nor is he very compassionate. The office staff is awful. Lack of follow up, no reporting on lab results, difficulty getting requested testing etc. And every time you need something they want you in for an appointment - even for the simplist of things. I am assuming it's to drive revenue but it's very difficult with working people to make their middle of the day appointments. Dr. Cougill doesn't EVER speak to me directly either if I need something other than when I am in the room with him. I've had to call before only to have several calls back and forth to the nurse as the third party relay person, causing me to have to spend time out of my job going back and forth with them on a matter that could have been resolved in 2 minutes had he just spoken to me directly. Trying to get resolution through the office manager is a joke as she seems to have no clue as to what's going on… there... Considering going to IU or Community where there might be better organization.

I didn't feel like I was there to get in and out. He took his time. Nice change of pace

Dr Cougill has a wonderful bedside manner but as far as follow up on health issues that require blood work follow ups and yearly screenings that seems to be a problem. Accurate diagnosis has been a issue since he has became my Primary care Doctor.

I love that I feel I can share all my worries and not feel like he looks down on me. Is very laid back and does not always rush to handing out drugs/antibiotics as the answer. Always listens to my concerns. My kids love him!

Clueless Doctor - I would not recommend him to anybody. Office Manager is a terrible person and should be fired.
