Dr. Andrew Robert Edelstein, MD

I took my daughter to a different pediatric gastroenterologist a couple of years ago and it was like a factory. Dr Edelstein's office was completely different to any doctor's office I had been to in a long time. From the initial phone call to set the appointment (they found something for me the same week rather than the 2-4 weeks that seem to be common in this area). The lady on the phone couldn't have been nicer. She gave me directions to the office without me asking. She never rushed me off the phone. And she faxed the paperwork to me right away so that I could be prepared for the appointment. We arrived at our appointment and there was no one else in the waiting room. Completely opposite to the other doctor where it was a full waiting room with crying babies and irritated kids and parents. I waited 2 + hours at the other dr's office. We waited less than 10 minutes at Dr Edelstein's office. Then it was the actual doctor that came out and got us and it was the actual doctor… that weighed my son. We spent about 30 minutes + with the doctor in the exam room going over everything. He was very thorough, has a great personality and totally put my son (and me) at ease. He made sure we completely understood his diagnosis and gave us the after hours phone number should we have any questions at any time. We made our follow up appointment with ease and we were happily on our way. This doctor came recommended to me by 3 other friends and I will now recommend him to anyone who needs a pediatric gastroenterologist.
