Dr. Andrew Gary Feinberg, MD

Just found this website and am shocked at some of the negative reviews. I have been under Dr. Feinberg's care for 20 years and have had nothing but 5 star visits each time. He s warm, gracious, and clearly an expert in his field. His wife is an excellent receptionist, very welcoming, and is also concerned about my well-being as well as that of my family members. I continue to look forward to each visit with the Feinbergs.

Obnoxious doc and more obnoxious wife. All they care about is getting their money. Doesn't listen to patient even when patient has been dealing with same problem for over 20 years. Caused a psychotic break and a week stay in hospital when he took me off all my mess at the same time.

What a joke. Felt like I was in a factory. His wife, the receptionist, only cares about getting your money, it's her first question and last question. Practice feels like a human mill. Little explanation of meds and what they do.

I think his wife who makes the appointments is nice. She calls the day before to confirm and tries to remind you of the appointment and time. He is a good doctor and has a lot of experience with mood disorders and ADHD. He always calls back the same day.

Very rude staff. I believe it is his wife who is so uncaring and mean.

He is very experienced and keeps up well with all of the newest research and medications the office is very convenient

I do not agree with some of the comments-I think he tries hard to answer questions and phone calls very well, keeps up on all of the latest meds and there are just some people who expect the medicine to be magic.

DR Feinberg has a well run practice, if you want more time he will see you for 50 Minutes, and he always answers phone calls very promptly.

I cant say enough NEGATIVE things about this doctor! He is remains in the dark ages for treatment and in my case is constantly wrong with medication... with no empathy. Please do not waste your time & money!!! He will not listen to you and he loves to use scare tactics to pressure his patients into agreeing to his ancient way of treating mental illnesses. Just another expensive doctor that is too much of an "expert" to humble himself and listen to his patients needs....

Not good for someone already diagnosed with something and that is already well controlled as was my case. I am a graduate degree educated young professional. I started seeing dr Feinberg after moving to Baltimore from out of state and thus needed a new prescriber and a new med because my current medication was making my blood pressure dangerously high. He required me to undergo a new very expensive evaluation (to verify the diagnosis I'd had for 18 years and already been assessed by several doctors before even proofing eligible for extra time on gre, tests in college etc) and required me to revisit his office for every new medication I tried (which was extremely expensive given i was just taking medications and testing my blood pressure, I didn't really need to take about anything just say this did or did not work based on my bp). Furthermore at almost every Appointment I had to remind him that the whole reason i was there was to find a medication that would be ok with my blood… pressure (like he kept forgetting why I was there just thinking I was a new patient new to ADHD!). My blood pressure was though the roof (190/130) and yet his main main concern seemed to be making sure my ADHD symptoms were 100%conttolled rather than my health too. I did not feel he gave me proper respect or was a good listener. He did not understand that my ADHD symptoms were a serious concern for me (I was not a little kid who did not realize his ADHD was a problem, if I was I wouldn't be going through all this to get medication!!!) but so was my health! One time I told him I couldn't take the medication he had given me to try a second day because the first day the doctor I worked for told me to go to the ER my bp was so high and he acted like I did the wrong thing! It felt like a catch 22. I hated not being on medication and being out of focus but if i took the medication I could have a stroke! I now go to a psychiatrist who only requires once a year visits and respects the importance of both my health and treating symptoms and understands I've had the diagnosis for a long time and know what I'm talking about. He also supports things such as i may take a different dose on weekend as my demands are less and i do not want to take more medication than i need given it is bad for my heart. dr Feinberg needs to get off his high horse, stop over medicating and learn to work on a better balance of pros and cons in medication use (and dosages).
