Dr. Andrew D. Galbreath, DO

First visit was fine. Filled out review in regard to. Returned to be treated disrespectfully. Was told issue was basically in my head. I was in tears and showed the back door away from waiting area. Well, it was. White Matter disease of brain. Thankful for a new neuro that actually listened and was able to diagnose and give me answers. I do not do first reviews because of this.

My husband has ALS, which was finally diagnosed by DR. Galbreath. Prior to finding Dr. Galbreath, my husband had been diagnosed with other conditions and treated accordingly. One prominent neurologist diagnosed him with a condition that can be easily managed. This is not the case with someone who has ALS. ALS is fatal, there is relatively no treatment or cure, but thanks to the intervention of Dr. Galbreath, my husband has lived a productive life for the last 4 years. If there were more than 5 stars I would give them. Not only is he a great doctor, he devotes spare time to raising money and awareness regarding ALS. He is not just a doctor but a partner in in dealing with whatever condition you are facing.

It took 4 months to get an appointment. Exam was thorough, however no follow up was scheduled. When I called I got an answering machine. It took 3 days for them to get back to me. I told them I had foot pain possibly related to gout and his staff said he was very busy and they would let him know. Three more days passed until I received another call. They referred back to my primary and said they could not help me. The person who called was not really friendly or very helpful.

Customer service oriented. Incredible beside manner. Very knowledgeable about diagnoses, causes and treatments. Gives undivided attention and prompt and courteous care. Dr. Galbreath in my opinion goes above and beyond the call of duty for his patients....

Dr Galbreath is nice enough but needs a bit of training in people skills. He takes too long to do necessary admin work, such as filling out required progress reports that are mandated by the State of Virginia to maintain ones driver's license. His workload seems to be too high. Maybe over worked and under paid?

He was the first doctor in the practice that I thought really cared about my situation and truly listened to me. He spent over an hour with me trying to determine what was going on.

Great doctor and staff! Spent a lot of time with me , very thorough, and making sure I understood my diagnosis and treatment. Never felt like he was rushing to get me out and on the the next patient as I've experienced in other specialty groups. I was very anxious and scared and him and his assistant made me feel comfortable and I left feeling all my questions were answered. Even got a call a couple days later to check on me. I would definitly recommend him to my family and friends!

Dr. Galbreath and staff were very through and knowledgeable.

Seeing this Doctor was the worst experience of my life with any Medical Professional...! He's incompetent to practice any specialty of medicine, unprofessional and most of all he's got a bad Manner & attitude with his patients! I would not recommend him to any body!

Waited 1 hour past my appointment time. Thorough doctor. Accurate diagnosis. Did not return phone call for medical question. But I would still recommend him.
