Dr. Andrew James Gilchrist, MD

Dr Gilchrist worked along side my Lyme doctor to help with so many things. He’s very patient, thorough, is willing to learn about new testing, etc. he’s very quick to respond . I appreciated him as my PCP.

I have been a patient for several years, and have had excellent care, very happy to have a really good doctor at my side. He really wants to help you get back on your feet and get better, which is very hard to find!

Both my wife and I have been a member or Dr Gilchrist's Primary Care program for over a year now and we could not be happier, its like having your own personal doctor. We have contacted him multiple times throughout the year (including annual physicals), and several times when we have been out of town, and have been able to immediately communicate with him with NO WAIT. He is an excellent physician with great contacts in the Eugene area medical community and it is wonderful to know he is available anytime to help. A great example: A few weeks ago our adult son (both our adult sons are members also) had a bad fall snowboarding on Mt Bachelor and broke his collar bone. He needed to be seen by a surgeon and the earliest he could even be seen by all the surgeons offices's we contacted was 7 to 10 days! We contacted Dr Gilchrist and he was able to get him into the top surgeon at Slocum and was seen the next day! Surgery was promptly scheduled and he is now fixed up (he needed a metal… plate and screws) and is on his way to a full recovery. Without Dr Gilchrist's help he would have had to wait a few weeks for his surgery.

I have had Dr. Gilchrist as my primary for the last 7 years at least and think the world of him!!! I have referred many people to him over the years. He always is easy to get in to see, great listening skills, very easy to talk to and understand when he explains what he finds wrong with me. Just a easy going, down to earth doctor that is very personable!!

I have never felt more neglected as a patient than with Dr. Gilchrist. He was never hands on, and I felt he was more interested with what was on his computer than my health concerns. His aloffness is very off-putting and I am so happy to now have a new doctor

I saw him on a Wednesday and Friday, by the receptionist, he was no longer there. Found out in the newspaper! Wasn't impressed anyway.
