Summary

Growing up I remember spending much of my youth in the hospital with my father a St. Paul OB/GYN. My grandfather was also a physician, a neurologist with Minneapolis Neurology and his brother a neurosurgeon in St. Paul.

I attended St. Thomas Academy in Mendota Heights, then St. Olaf College in Northfield. I attended the University of Minnesota for medical school. I then moved to Cincinnati, OH for my neurosurgical training and then stayed an additional year for a vascular and endovascular fellowship. Following this I received the William P. Van Wagenen Award and traveled to Munich, Germany for a year where I studied stem cell biology in the laboratory of Professor Magdalena Gotz at Ludwig Maximilian Universitat. Always wanting to return to Minnesota and also always wanting to be in academics I was fortunate enough to receive a faculty appointment in the Department of Neurosurgery and also to have a laboratory in the Stem Cell Institute called the Earl Grande Stroke and Stem Cell Laboratory.

Ensuring Data Transparency and Trust: A Guide to Vitals Doctor Listings and Reviews

Our provider data is gathered directly from physicians and publicly available databases. Providers who verify their profiles gain the ability to update information, offering additional details about their specialties, education, treated conditions, performed procedures, and accepted insurances.

Reviews on Vitals are submitted by users only. Recognizing the valuable insights these reviews offer into a doctor's reputation, we maintain internal policies and protocols to ensure the quality and accuracy of all reviews. Importantly, providers cannot delete or alter reviews independently. Reviews can only be deleted or changed following an internal assessment by our customer service team.

Your feedback is highly valued and we encourage you to contact our support team should you encounter any issues.
