No frills doctor. Fine for a 1 time visit and referrals. I'll be switching to another provider who's a bit more robust in their approach.

went in for hard breathing chest pain, he asked questions, i gave answers, he then gave comments that were very unknowledgeable, it seemed i knew more than him as i re-search things very thourily!!! all in all he just disagreed on every thing and did nothing to or for me except talk bs!!!

A VA CBOC fill-in. One visit. I have chronic level 5 to 7 pain. His reaction to that was essentially (not his words but the message I got): You're old; you will have pain; suck it up. I had questions about two diagnoses and asked what I might expect. He blew off my questions and offered no answers. The only thing he did that was useful was make two referrals but he did not tell me he was doing that nor why. I left with no more clarity than before I went in and no pain relief in sight. The VA staff is excellent; this doctor is poor. I was glad to hear he left the CBOC.

Met Dr Gurien in another state. He has charm and charisma. I have chronic level 5 pain that shoots up; it interferes with routine use. I had questions about diagnoses; doc blew off my questions. RE: pain, not his words, but the message I got: "You are old; you will have pain; suck it up". I had no more clarity when I left than when I arrived. Doc did do two referrals after I persisted. Most of my questions were not answered. I left with no pain relief in sight.
