Dr. Andrew Warren Hesseltine, MD

This dr was arrogant, didn’t want to see my records or listen to me. He humiliated me by saying I didn’t have sciatica- but that I had radiculopathy-??? does that tell you anything? Then, he said that I’ve tried everything and asked me what I wanted to do since he couldn’t help me. I suggested acupuncture. I would never refer anyone to him!

I'm not sure why there is such a discrepancy among the reviews, I can only state my own experience. I'm a chronic pain patient, thanks to a severe motor vehicle accident, several surgeries and stubborn lingering pain. I've been stable on a medication - Suboxone - for many years. It's labeled use is for drug addiction (to combat withdrawal symptoms and prevent heroin/opiate use). However, it is also used to manage chronic pain and side-effects are minimal. Dr. Hesseltine or a member of his professional staff provided excellent care for me and always addressed any concerns I had related to taking this drug as well as other options available for treatment. My chief laments about his practice are 1. Difficulty getting through to his office by telephone; 2. Difficulty with having telephone messages relayed and then answered; and 3. Long wait times in the office for my scheduled appointment. I don't know if those problems stem from being understaffed, overloaded or incompetence… (the office personnel) and I think the lengthy waits may stem from overbooking. These issues could be resolved with proper oversight, but they do exist. Despite the drawbacks, I've benefited from the knowledge, expertise and compassion received from Dr. Hesseltine and his medical staff. If you can accept the drawbacks, you're going to the best pain management practice.

I have had such excellent results with Dr. Hesseltine, and his staff, where it has not been so with others. My spinal injections actually work. Dr. Hesseltine took the time and cared enough to do a metabolic panel to find out why certain medications that should have worked, did not, and to try to find what would help. Still on the journey, but at least here, I have hope.

I dont want said much the title speak for his self , men this is the worst doctors office i have been , the entyre staff ???? The providers sucks Aly shame of you Marina and few others not good ????

This Doctor is really unprofessional he does not like listening to patients the Staff is really Rude and unprofessional as well they always give you the run around they never take care of things. Will never go back!!

I think Dr. Hesseltine is the absolute Best in His Field!! But the person commiting on Linda as Very Rude, is completely correct!! I just never use her. I suggest Tim or Eric if you cannot meet with Dr. Hesseltine Himself! He did a trail surgery and a final surgery on my spine. The pain still exists but He helped me! If you want The Best in what He does, I would swear by Him!

Dr Hesseltine is a nice guy that has no clue how terribly his office staff performs. In the two years I was a patient nobody ever returned a phone call. On very rare occasions someone would answer the phone. Dr Hesseltine's staff is absolutely the rudest group of people I have ever encountered at any medical facility. They only do electronic Rx and I had nothing but problems which they always blamed on somebody else. I was assigned to a PA, Linda, perhaps the most annoying person in the entire office. By the time I left I had not seen the doctor in over a year.

I think that Dr. Hesseltine is a great doctor. He sure has helped me. His office staff is courteous and helpful and, for the most part, I have had no problems. His assistants are excellent.
