Dr. Andrew Johnson Houlton, MD

Andrew J. Houlton, MD, serves as both the Medical Director of Surgical Services and the Director of Medical Affairs. He received his training at the University of Minnesota Medical School and is a board certified Anesthesiologist with fellowship training in Cardiovascular Anesthesiology. Dr. Houlton is published in peer reviewed journals including a chapter on Pediatric Heart and Lung Transplantation. He is a graduate of the Physician Leadership College at the University of St. Thomas University Opus College of Business. He is past President of the Minnesota Society of Anesthesiologists and past Chief of Staff of North Memorial Medical Center. Professional memberships include the American Society of Anesthesiologists, Society of Cardiovascular Anesthesiologists, The American College of Health Care Executives and The Minnesota Medical Association. Interests include Physician leadership and total quality management. He enjoys spending time on his Wisconsin farm, carpentry, making maple …syrup in the spring and apple cider in the fall.
