Dr. Andrew Scott Kassel, MD

I now see why this Dr has received so many 1 stars. My 89-year-old Dad showed up for an appointment with only a scan of his medicare card and his ID because he had recently been robbed. The office staff stated that they were not willing to see him because it was the Dr's policy that he needed the original documents to see a patient. They would not allow me to pay cash for the appointment and they would not take a scanned copy of the documents. My Dad is very ill and is in pain with his toe. I find it hard to believe that the Dr's office was not willing to see a frail, 89-year-old who is in pain and was willing to pay cash for the appointment. Worse than that, the two staff members in the front office show no empathy or compassion. They felt justified is explaining they were just following the policy of th practice. Beyond that, as my Dad recently moved to the area and can no longer drive, I had to pay someone to bring him to the appointment. Never go to this provider.
