Dr. Andrew Louis Knaut, MD

This "Doctor" is worthless. I went to his ER (The third ER I've been to since the 24th of August) complaining of severe lower abdominal pain. First of all he asked me why I've been to three different ER's (I knew what he was implying), I told him so I could get three different opinions. I also told him that I refused pain meds in the ambulance and in the ER to illustrate the pain I was in. I told him specifically I thought I had an inguinal hernia, but he said no "because he couldn't feel it", even though he never felt my left side. I said this is the worst pain I've felt since I had cerebral palsy as a kid. His response? "How do you know you have cerebral palsy (As if I'd make THAT up)? I then showed him two scars, one on the outside of my right leg, and one in the back. I couldn't show him the two on my left leg or the four others (two each side) near my hips at the time. I was in so much pain I begged him to admit me. His response? "The hospital is full… of sick people, and you don't want to be around sick people, and with the holiday weekend nothing would get done anyway." I said I don't care, admit me, sedate me if you have to. That's how sore I was and still am. His next response? "There's no reason to keep you here." Btw, the hernia he said I didn't have? He was right? I don't have a hernia. I have a bilateral hernia. Which are multiple hernia's on BOTH sides of the pelvic bone and I will be setting up my surgery schedule sometime next week. This guy shouldn't be in an ER. He doesn't have the people skills, the compassion, nor the work ethic to be in an ER. The best thing I heard out of his mouth the whole time I was there was when he told me he was getting ready to leave and his "partner" would take over. SHE was courteous. She helped me more in 15 minutes than "Doctor" Knaut did in almost three hours. He should be ashamed of himself for how he treats ER patients, because you know I'm not the only one this has happened too. An ER doctor? I wouldn't let this lazy, coasting for a paycheck buffoon empty a bed pan at this point. He has no business working in a hospital at all.
