I met Dr. Andrew J. Kobets when he was a medical resident of my former nureosurgeon Dr. James T. Goodrich in 2015. He has become my present nureosurgeon since the death of Dr. Goodrich in 2020. In 2015 Dr. Kobets stepped in to help me with a medical issue that had suddenly come up as a result of my shunt failing. My mom was surprised, and happy with how he handled the situation, and told Dr. Goodrich about it afterwards. He is caring, knowledgeable, and is willing to listen, and work with other doctors to help his patients. He also help me recently in 2025 with my ultrasound guided breast biopsy that I needed done here in Pennsylvania where I live. Due to the fact that I have a VA shunt, and was worried about having the test. Everything went well. He is caring, knowledgeable, willing to work with others. He goes the distance to help his patients. To the very young, and even the adult patients like me with hydrocephalus. I give him five stars.
