Dr. Andrew Anmin Kuo, DDS

I was referred to Dr. Kuo for my root canal problem by my dentist. For the consultation, I was charged $175 and was quoted a price over $3,000. Before of the amount, I didn't want to commit to the procedure right the way. I also wanted to check out the references/reviews of Dr. Kuo. I asked him if I could apply the consultation to the charge if I decided to have the procedure, I was told "only if you have it in two weeks". I was pretty turned off by the pushiness of a doctor. Not the professional standard I expected. Then when I checked further, I'd found some pretty bad reviews. I also found out that Dr. Kuo has other office in other states like NJ and PA and he is only in the Flushing office once every or every other week. He is a one man office, no other associated dentist at all. I really hate to have the work done and have problem to find that I have to wait two weeks to have the problem looked at. I decided to find other endodontics to treat me problem. I asked my own… dentist and Dr. Kuo to send me the x-Ray pictures so I can bring them to my new endodontics. My original sent me the jpg pictures which I can show on my iPhone. After a week of back and forth, Dr. Kuo sent me a bunch of garbage files that I cannot open with the iPhone or computer. When I asked for jpg files, he told me that came straight out of his x-Ray machine. Very obvious, he did want to provide me with the x-Ray picture which I paid for. I had not had any dental work done by him so I cannot comment on his work. But from a personal and business standpoint, I'd found Dr. Kuo very unprofessional and greedy. I have seen more ethical used car salesmen than him.

Dr. Andrew Kuo was very gentle, caring and thorough for my root canal procedure. The procedure was rather quick and simple, and he took the time to explain what was needed, what was done etc. I didn't feel any pain and was not uncomfortable at all during the procedure, and would recommend him 100%. I did not see him at the Flushing office, I saw him at a NJ office so cannot comment on the office, but he is a great endodontist.
