Office staff and PA were great, however Dr was not. I chose to see this Dr due to the 5-star ratings on here, but my experience was less than great. Exam room had a bed (?) but nowhere to examine hands...no table, only took your hand in his. Dr examined my hand, and because I had Carpal Tunnel surgery performed in my opposite hand, I assumed this is what was going on in my 'other' hand. He took my word for it, didn't order EMG test nor Xrays, (which i would have wanted) and gave me a brace to wear until I could get the needed surgery. He didn't crack a smile, no small talk, no assurance, I almost seemed like a bother to him. But what took the cake was, as he looked at my hands, I noticed all HIS fingernails were bitten down to the quick! What Dr do you want to perform surgery on your hands, while his are nearly infected from his continued nail biting? This was a huge red flag to me. No thanks, as it appears he lacks confidence in himself. Don't be fooled by his 5-stars, as stated.

Very professional yet personable bedside manner. He took the time to explain things to me and answer all my questions. Was caring and considerate in providing surgery to attempt repair my cut tendon and stitch up the cut under local anesthetic. Will find outif the surgery and immobilization of my thumb was successful at follow up visit later this week. I am optimistic, as I feel I receieved excellent, efficient care through the UW Health system and docs for this injury.
