Dismissive in the ER, wouldn't listen to description of physical injury, called it "chronic pain" instead.

We have a abortion at 12 week and we got prescription for Misoprostol to be used, however we were not guided with risks associated with it. Due to lack to proper awareness given by doctor, eventually ended up in calling 911 and ER and urgent late night D&C. I feel doctor could have done a way better job in letting patients know the implications to expect. We were not even told to have 1 person around the patient, which was very much needed in this case. I hope this can be properly addressed for any other patients in future.

Dr. Oldroyd treated me at the ER and had excellent knowledge and bedside manner.

I have a lot of inflammatory illnesses, mainly stemming from Endometriosis-which has aggravated basically the whole rest of my body. But one day I was in extreme pain due to some stress triggers, and my pain just continued to get worse and worse until that evening I truly did think I was having a heart attack (due to the amount of pain I was in & specific symptoms I had). I went to the ER, saw Dr. Oldroyd. The took vitals, blood tests, and imaged my heart. After being there for 2 1/2 hours, with little attention, nothing to help ease my pain, Dr. Oldroyd came in, and absolutely looked at me like I was 190% CRAZY! He said you look good, your blood test showed your Potassium is low, And immediately sent me home. I was honestly heart broken, To be in so much pain, and to have Dr. Oldroyd act like he couldn’t care less about ME! Not to mention the very slight smell of alcohol on him!!! I was so hurt! Literally if I did have the amazing support system at home, Dr. Oldroyd himself… truly could have driven me to end my life on this earth. That’s the extreme unbearable amount of pain I was in. I hope he looses his medical license, Or at least learns what being a true doctor means, I’m not just another # $$$, I’m a person and I needed HELP or at the least someone to care about ME!

We’ve been assigned to Dr. Oldroyd twice in the ER he is so kind and patient and made my 5/6 year old feel comfortable and important. He was great with communication and thoroughness. I can’t say enough good things about our experiences with him.

I went into the hospital feeling scared with chest pain. When I arrived Dr. Oldroyd came in right away and was very thorough and kind. Even after my visit he gave me a call to check to see how I was doing. He went above and beyond to make sure I was doing okay. His care was excellent and I recommend him.
