Dr. Andrew M Parad, MD

Several years after a diagnosis of fissures, cysts, and other wild guesses I am still without treatment and without any symptoms. The good doctor refused to treat me saying my condition was over his head. I was sent out of his office without an answer or treatment but with a bill for over three hundred bucks. I now believe that a applying a band-aid might be over his head.

Best argument for a second opinion that I have come across in my entire life. If you think that your experience was lacking, you are probably correct.........

I have had 8 doctors since I moved to CT in 2010. I have had trouble getting my "Re-scripts" with only one, your office. At least a dozen times, I have called my pharmacy to see if my med's were ready to pick up, usually 3 days after requesting refills, and they say, NO, because they had not heard back from my doctor. I wait another 3 or 4 days to check again, or go by the pharmacy to make the pick up, and I am told they still hadn't heard from the doctor. So, I call your office and ask whats going on, and I'm told they will take care of it. I call the pharmacy in 3 or 4 days, sometimes I'm lucky, and sometimes I have to call your office again. This last one was "THE STRAW". For a month, the pharmacy has been trying to get a script for my Diabetes Test crap. I called your office after 2 weeks and was told it would be taken care of. After 2 more weeks, I called again, and told by one of your ladies, that there is NOTHING in my records about "Me having Diabetes or needing… Diabetes Test Equipment". I have been treated for Diabetes for more than 12 years.....

I like Dr. Parad, more than the three I had before him. The ladies in the office are great, nice to deal with and great on the phone. My only problem is, having to fight to get scripts renewed. I call my pharmacy, been using them with great success for 6 years, i give them my needed refill numbers. I call back a few days later and I'm told that I need rescripts for 2 or 3 meds. They say they have sent requests and are waiting. I call back a few a few days later and the pharmacy says Dr. Parad's office has not responded. Ask me to call my doctor. I call. In a few days I call the pharmacy, because now I have run out of a couple meds, still no response from Dr. Parads office. This has happened two dozen times or more. My Diabetes supplier went out of business so I gave it to my pharmacy. They have now tried for three weeks to get authorization from Dr. Parads office with no response. They Pharmacy called me to see what Meter I presently use so they can get me by until… they get the authorization. Well, as much as I like Dr. Parad, I am beginning search for another doctor. I didn't have any of this with three other doctors, so I don't believe it is my Pharmacy. The Medicine Shoppe, New London...

Dr Parad is an excellent diagnostician. Professional, extremely knowledgeable and conducts visits w/an interested and caring attitude. He doesn't get his feathers ruffled easily and has been very re-assuring and thorough on every occasion I had to visit him. Highly recommend him, an excellent G.P!
