Dr. Andrew D. Peshek, MD

It took approx. 4 months for their office to get back to me. When they did and we set up the initial appointment, he was over one hour late. Apparently this is typical for him, and I was given lip service about how I agreed to this structure in the patient forms. He has patients agree that he could be up to 1.5 hours late, yet we'd need to cancel appointments with much more notice than that. Once we had our consultation, again over an hour after the appointment was supposed to start, he artificially focused on one particular mental health challenge that I continued to say I was not prepared to address and that I wanted to focus on the other challenges first. I half expected him to throw on a hat with the logo for a medication on it. Then, when we got medication options, despite his excitement and awareness of a somewhat novel treatment option, he did no homework and did not learn about it at all, causing several visits to the pharmacy and several follow up calls with him and his admin… to try and get the prescription corrected. Rather than a partner to work with, it felt like I was just telling him what I wanted and he'd do it, but only to the effect of writing the script. No other knowledge was shared or gained. He also very suddenly disappeared for several weeks without a notice longer than 72 hours, which was only provided after originally saying that he was going to be unavailable effective immediately for weeks. I assume that there was some feedback from patients that made him change this, but I don't know. His admin is extremely difficult to get a hold of on limited hours and days during the week and seemed more involved than I would have anticipated an admin to be. I'm sure that Dr. Peshek is a decent guy personally, but his practice is trash. You can't work in this field and expect people to bend to your will like this. Some people seem to have success with him. My recommendation is to always shop for a psychiatrist if you could afford it, I had several new psychiatrists booked in a short period of time and was able to connect with one that felt more appropriate for me and won't need to work in this archaic system of Dr. Peshek's anymore.

Intelligent and understanding. Listens.... is he a few minutes lates sometimes? Not a bad word to say.

DO NOT GO HERE! The disorganization and lack of competence you will find at this office is absolutely absurd. First of all, you can’t even contact the office by phone. Scheduling and any issues are either done in person or through email, but good luck getting an answer back through email without having to follow up with them a handful of times first. I’ve also had several billing issues with this office. They tried to charge me over $2,000 for mistakes they clearly made and they refused to admit it. It could not have been more obvious that they were trying to trick me into paying them money I never owed them. I’ve also read that other patients have dealt with the office committing insurance fraud. As far as the waiting time to be seen goes, it is beyond normal for a doctor’s office. I once waited two hours for my appointment and have seen other patients in the waiting room get fed up and leave for dealing with the same issue. My appointments have also gotten cancelled with notice… of only 30 minutes beforehand. More than once I wasn’t notified at all. Another time I showed up to the office at my scheduled time and the office was closed - again, no one told me anything. Over nearly two years as a patient here it became more and more clear to me that this office is greedy and cares more about money than treating patients with respect and proper care. If you have stress and anxiety, being a patient at this office will worsen it. All that being said, it’s been an extremely irritating and disappointing time going here and I highly recommend that you seek treatment elsewhere.

Con artist, should be investigated, a unethical, a thief of billing so called Doctor. Owes back money, after months, going back and forth, office said it was in the mail, called again extremely rude and said that wasn't owed the money. Do Not Used this Doctor. He is a disgrace to all doctors. Karma

Only reason im leaving this is because of all the negative reviews of Dr & staff? Ive had nothing but a great experience since coming to see Dr Peshek. They communicate via email - NO PHONE CALLS. Like most offices sometimes there is a wait to be seen, but ive never waited more than a 1 hour. My emails have all been answered within 24 hours. Dr Peshek is great @ what he does and since my diagnosis & treatment my life has improved 1000% Anyway - thats my 2 cents - Cheers!!

Had 3 separate appointments. Never saw the doctor once. First appointment, he wasnt there, I filled out some paperwork and talked to a nurse via skype from his office. The conversation consisted of him reasking me the same exact questions that were on the intake paperwork. As I was talking via Skype the nurse was texting the doctor about me. At the end of the conversation, I was prescribe 5 different drugs and given basically no information on what they really were. I went home and googled the prescriptions. It was basically a cocktail of anti-depressants, bi-polar drugs, and a barbiturate sleep aid. Every one of them had some significant side effects listed. I decided not to take any of them until I could actually talk to the doctor. I scheduled two more appointments. Both times I showed up but the Doctor didn't. They were happy to refill my prescriptions though. I never booked another appointment or called back. No one ever reached out to me.… Honestly I have no idea if this guy even exists.

Inexplicably, the following assertion which was made by Gordon Gekko in the movie Wall Street comes to mind when evaluating this unscrupulous character; "The point is, ladies and gentlemen, that Greed, for lack of a better word, is good! Greed is right! Greed works! Greed clarifies, cuts through, and captures the essence of this provider's Opportunistic Spirit!"

Dr. Peshek's care was hands down the worst care I have had from a psychiatrist. Despite having prior knowledge of my problems with substance use and addiction, he prescribed addictive medications. He put me on a dose of a medication that ended up with me having to go to the ER in an ambulance. He was frequently over 45 min late. His staff was not responsive and it was difficult to get in contact to make appointments. My family had to take him to claims court for charging for appointments we never had. I am incredibly grateful to no longer be his patient. I would not recommend him to any person under any circumstances.

There's an old and wise Yiddish cautionary saying that goes like this; IF HIS WORDS WERE A BRIDGE, I'D BE AFRAID TO CROSS IT To those who may be more discerning, you most definitely want to go downstream, as there are far more scrupulous providers elsewhere who can help with your passage into better mental health (if you follow my meaning). Oy Gevalt !

The single worst experience I've ever had dealing with a dr. office. Absolutely pathetic communication from the admin staff - literally feels like I'm dealing with toddlers. Takes them days, sometimes weeks to respond to an email and there is no phone number to contact them. Peshek's a good guy, his office staff is atrocious and should be unemployed.
