Dr. Andrew Mark Reibach, MD

Ruined what little quality i had left in my life by refusing to treat me. Add him to list of doctors who take your money but offer nothing in return. St. Clair can do better than this.

STAY AWAY

I Went to St. Clair Hospital's ER department and was seen by Dr. Andrew Reibach, M.D.. He seemed fine at first impression but that quickly wore off when his arrogance took over. I was there for a post heart catherization complication that had occurred. He was so concerned at only looking at my past documentations in their computer system that he had his mind made up as he swung open the curtain. He NEVER asked me what medications I was taken or if ANY had changed from the ones shown in my files, no blood drawn, no IV fluids, no heart monitor, Vitals only taken ONCE, nor did he ask me about nor confirm ANY or ALL of my medical conditions past or present (new). This is an important issue because the medicine he prescribe me could have caused severe bleeding in my stomach or even caused a stroke as published as warning indicators per the pharmaceutical's literature. Had I not taken the the time to read it rather than just blindly trusting him I might not be writing this.… Had he bothered to ask a thorough history he could have prevented that error by knowing the particular medical conditions that I had which would have prevented him from prescribing that particular medication. When he got my results from the Radiologist after an Ultrasound and CT Scan he came back to my room and said everything is fine so you need to go home. I then went to my PCP because something still seemed a bit wrong and it turns out that after having read the same radiology reports that Dr. Reibach read my PCP told me that my radiology reports had shown a Hematoma accompanied by an infection from said surgery and a hernia that I was not even told about by Dr. Reibach but the radiology report stated. I guess that's why they call being a doctor having a practice, since it seems like he was practicing. Having NEVER called him a bad name in this comment/review nor will I - dealing with him can be a little bit like amateur hour. I am truly and genuinely shocked when I read good and in some cases excellent reviews of Dr. Rebaich. I say this because I don't know what he could have done that would give someone those impressions of him but that is neither here nor there. Their opinions are still their opinions and I will not degrade them. This is my own experience and is not intended to be a bashing fest but it's an empirical factual encounter of his unprofessional and dangerous behavior I experienced that could have cost me or other people there lives or perhaps impeded their healing progress. While it is dangerous to overtreat one, it is equally dangerous if not more dangerous to under-treat someone, especially if it based on personal bias, arrogance, ignorance, un-professionalism or perhaps a combination of some or all of these defects of character. This is NOT slander as the truth NEVER can be, and if Dr. Reibach himself should read this - you need to remember that you sir have earned this, it's the shameful truth of your convictions, actions and attitude. It ONLY takes ONE tragic personal experience to throw away all of the good you may have done in the past, but nevertheless it needs to be publicly known. People (i.e., patients) need to given the unfettered truth and be factually informed about public servants (especially those involved and entrusted to help make medical decisions for them). I shall pray for you sir to practice humility and learn not to become a victim of your own pre-dispositions. Excellent care provided at Upper St Clair hospital in the ER. I don't think he takes my insurance for a PCP, but I'm looking into it.

He was my doctor for years before I moved. No other doctor holds a candle to him. He is the best anyone can find. I get tempted to move back to that area just to have him as my doctor and the people in the office is the best in the world. I wish more doctors and offices followed their example.
