Dr. Andrew Rose-Innes

Extremely poor bedside manner and care for patient. He kept asking me what I thought was wrong with me. started to discuss my MRI then admitted he had not even looked at it yet. Then proceeded to tell me I was having migraines with no symptoms and wouldn't explain to me how he came to that conclusion. Then on my AVS put the diagnosis as Fatigue. I emailed him to ask what that even meant since we never talked about that and he won't respond. I have lesions on my brain and when I asked about them he said that is normal but he will review my MRI when he gets a chance and get back to me. I want to know why he even had a visit he was not prepared for. My symptoms are still here but I am to embarrassed and angry to see another doctor at this point because I feel he has made sure nobody will take me serious.

I worked for neuro surgeons in my career and found Dr. Rose-Innes to be professional as well as kind and well informed regarding my health status. He was prepared and thoroughly counseled me in my path forward. His staff we kind and helpful as well

Took me months to schedule an appointment with him. On top of that he was grossly underprepared for the appointment. My doctor's office sent my file which included MRIs and other information. They didn't have any of this information on my file. He didn't even know I had an MRI until I informed him. He wants a follow up appointment in a few months, yet there is no availability for over 6 months. So he is continuing to take new patients he literally doesn't have the time for. His rudeness I could deal with if he was a good doctor. I have had great providers who were very abrupt, but he isn't one of them. I have no idea why he is teaching students on top of his enormous workload with his lack of patient care. I did like his MA though. She was a sweetheart.

Dr. Rose-Innes has a demeanor in keeping with the culture of his native country. It has absolutely NOTHING to do with not caring about you or not listening. Basing bad reviews on this is a bit childish to begin with. Dr. Rose-Innes is a good doctor. That is what we all should be looking for, a skilled, efficient, organized, dedicated doctor who can help you but will not coddle you. Anyway, I liked him. He made me frustrated but I really liked hi nonetheless. Amy

Went in with my husband a few years ago and he totally dismissed his symptoms, told him there was nothing wrong with him. My husband and I just looked at each other in disbelief cause we couldn’t get anywhere with him. Would NEVER go to him. Really bad bedside matter. My husband stomped out of there and he still didn’t get it!!

Women, do not go anywhere near this doctor. I want to believe that he was just having an incredibly bad day when I saw him, and not believe that he is a sadistic misogynist who gets off on insulting the intelligence of his female patients. Like most doctors, he knows nothing about autoimmune disease, so if you suspect you might have a neurological autoimmune disease, don't look here for help. You will only get a huge helping of arrogant dismissal. Everyone in medicine should see the groundbreaking film UNREST.

I beg to differ with your article on the length of time in which one recovers from meningitis. If you review articles online and actually speak to patients that had contracted meningitis, you would realize that more research is needed in how long this illness actually lasts. After effects last a lifetime. There my be good days but there are definitely long periods of time in which one experiences the after effects of the disease. It has been 5 years since I contracted viral meningitis and continuously go through long bouts of memory loss, confusion, hand/eye coordination, headaches every day, speech problems, bouts of fatigue and vision problems. If you have never had this disease, and have never suffered from the after effects, than maybe you should reconsider your professional opinion and perform more research prior to making assumptions that "symptoms usually disappear between 6 to 12 months".
