Dr. Schneider is a native of Richmond, Virginia, and graduated from Princeton University in 1987. Dr. Schneider graduated from Medical College of VA in 1991 as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. This distinguished him as being in the top five percent of his class. Dr. Schneider also won the Best in Surgery Award in his class. Coming to Winston-Salem in 1991 to begin his formal training in surgery at The Wake Forest University School of Medicine, Dr. Schneider spent one year as the Bradshaw Surgical Research Fellow and completed his general surgery training in 1997.In 1997 Dr. Schneider began his plastic surgery training at Wake Forest where he learned the newest techniques in both reconstructive and cosmetic surgery. During his two years of training he also traveled to India to perform cleft lip surgery on children and he presented research and gave lectures across the United States. He continues to volunteer with Operation Smile, and has been a part of surgical …missions to Ecuador, Peru and the former Soviet Union. He was featured on The Learning Channels Personal Story which was broadcast nationally. Dr. Schneider is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.Dr. Schneider joined Forsyth Plastic Surgery in August, 1999. He served as President of the North Carolina Society of Plastic Surgeons in 2009. He is also a past president of Medical Park Hospital, and is currently on the Board of Trustees at Forsyth Country Day School. Dr. Schneider also serves on both the Board of Visitors and Board of Advisers for Camp Sea Gull and Seafarer. He is married to Nancy and has two children, Joel (18) and Bradley (20) who is a student at Princeton. His hobbies include magic, music, sailing, and collecting art. Dr. Schneider is also the author of The Surgeons Guide To Grading, Staging, And Classification which was published nationally by W.B. Saunders in Sept 2000.

Dr Schneider is very warm, caring, and knowledgeable. I’m so glad he’s my surgeon and I look forward to going through this experience with him and his team. His results speak for themselves and he is highly recommended by former patients. His facility is comfortable and clean. His team is competent, friendly, and took time to answer all of our questions.

I was very nervous for this visit but he was great! It was a consultation for breast reconstruction after double mastectomy due to breast cancer. He put me at ease very quickly. I feel like he was very honest with me but gave me options. Very pleased with my visit!

Dr. Schneider has always been awesome! I had a procedure done in December 2018 and leading up to the procedure as well as after the procedure. He was phenomenal as well as the rest of his staff. When I needed another procedure, there is no other doctor that I even considered. Dr. Schneider will be doing my upcoming procedure this summer.

Dr. Schneider is an excellent doctor. He is patient, compassionate and has a great bedside manner! I would recommend him if you ever need anything done..

Was well pleased with Dr Schneider. He was very personal, professional and listened to any of my concerns. We mapped out a plan and agreed that surgery was not necessary But said to let him know if I experienced any issues and to come back in to revisit. Very practical about his decisions. Thank you so much. Would highly recommend.

Cannot say enough good things about Dr Schnieder and the staff at FSP. They have taken wonderful care of me in dealing with a horrible gland infections. Top of his field for certain. Excellent care.

I've been seeing Dr. Schneider off and on for a couple decades. He is someone I trust implicitly. His staff are always friendly. He listens, he is reassuring, he is honest. Attention to detail is spot-on. He always has a smile on his face, as well as his nurses. His is very professional and shows great respect in his manner and speaking. I wouldn't go anywhere else. EVER.

Wonderful experience. I am a breast cancer survivor. I was seen today due to problems with my 15 year old breast reconstruction causing pain. Dr Schneider was very reassuring. The nurses and office staff were very knowledgeable. Would highly recommend.

I went in for a consult with Dr. Schneider. He and his nurse were wonderful. Both were knowledgeable, informative, and thorough. I feel confident and comfortable with my upcoming procedure.

I had breast reconstruction by Dr. Schneider when I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Him and his staff are wonderful. I always feel welcomed and at ease when I come for my follow up appointments and he made me feel beautiful again!
