Dr. Andrew David Smith, MD

I use the John Muir Health network that communicates through the computer where I can leave messages for all my doctors in pull down menu. I have no problems with my Primary Physician Dr. De Monteiro. Dr Smith does not respond to my emails about critical medication questions.

Dr. Smith's M.A. was very thorough and helpful at reception. Excellent! The nurse, though nice, got a low a blood pressure reading. She didn't ask if I knew how to give a urine sample. Dr. Smith did not keep me waiting long, but apologized anyway. That was nice. He appeared friendly, but not compassionate and with little bedside manner. He did not know what a dilation of the urethra was that I had had when I was seven, 51 years earlier. That was frightening. He covered by saying that they don't do that anymore. He asked me two times about lots of information. He acted incredulous that I didn't know how low my bladder had fallen. Dr. Smith said that he could do a bladder sling in five minutes, but then, said that the operation would take an hour. He told me to schedule the surgery. I felt like he was selling it. I'm seeking a second opinion and don't think I'll be back.

Dr Smith performed surgery on me and took very good care of me. I would recommend him to any friend or family member or anyone for that matter. Well qualified and is very knowledgable.

Very caring doctor, the office wait was only minutes until I was called in. He spent a lot of time with me and had a positive outlook on my situation. He ran many tests to figure out what was wrong with me and listened to my concerns as long as I was willing to talk. I would see him again and recommend to others.
