Dr. Andrew Garland Smith, DC III, DC

Drew Smith, DC,  is originally from Fayetteville, NC.  He graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1993.  In 2001 he decided to return to school and pursue a career as a Chiropractor.  He attended Parker College of Chiropractic and graduated with his Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 2004.  Upon graduation he worked for Southeastern Healthcare in Wilmington, NC.  Dr. Smith was with Southeastern Healthcare for 10 years before purchasing a practice in Whiteville, NC in 2014.  He currently resides with his wife, Jennifer, and children, Ashton, Easton, and Sadie, in Lake Waccamaw, and is a proud resident of Columbus County.

Dr. Smith is trained in a variety of Chiropractic Techniques.  He draws from multiple techniques to find what is best and most comfortable for the patient.   Dr. Smith is partial to  adjusting with manual techniques, such as Diversified, Gonstead, and Thompson Drop.  He is also trained …in Sacro-Occipital Technique (SOT) and Upper Cervical technique, which are "lighter" manual techniques.  Although he is partial to "hands on" adjusting, Dr. Smith is also trained in and uses Activator Technique and other instrument techniques for patients that need or prefer instrument adjusting.  Dr. Smith is also trained in extremity adjusting and adjusts shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees, feet and ankles with either manual or instrument adjusting techniques.  

Dr. Smith  encourages his patients to discuss with him what they are comfortable with, or not comfortable with, in their treatment.  The ultimate goal is to improve the health and promote the well-being of the patient and Dr. Smith has many adjusting techniques at his disposal to achieve this goal.
